You would have absolutely LOVED Epcot in the '80s & '90s! It was a dark ride lover's paradise! Animitronics galore! I was one of those camcorder nerds in the early '90s taking extensive footage of Disney parks. We were the OG vloggers and didn't even know it.

They need more dark rides that are magical and more animatronics they are what makes the magic! I just have no desire to go back to Disney because they keep redoing things and need to move on to new adventures!

The way they did the Moana attraction is so beautiful. Some spots look like a painting in the background of spaceship Earth. Absolutely beautiful. You reminded me of a kid running through the water. I loved it😊😊😊

i agree theming wise, AK makes sense at first. I also think it might have got lost in the lineage of similar type settings and themes of AK. At least in Epcot its both unique and educational and thats a classic Epcot attraction.

Agree. It is jarring and out of place in EPCOT. Diz Co. has totally discarded Walt's original focus for EPCOT: Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. What a shame.

Epcot tied the in with The Land, Living Seas, all about nature whereas Animal Kingdom's focus is animals.

Glad to see they are trying to do more with Figment. Epcot in the 80’s and 90’s had a lot of focus on learning. I would be able to write a paper and have the days I messed of school excused. The Moana attraction looks amazing! It opens to the public on the last day of our upcoming trip…we are booked for lunch at Epcot that day so really hope I get to walk through it as a final hurrah to our trip!

Thanks for the great video Nate! I especially enjoyed getting to see your coverage of the booths at D23. Those Lug bags are going to be really popular. And that D23 and Company D merch was awesome! I saw several things that I would have scooped up! I was a little disappointed by the lack of major announcements this morning, but I guess it is to be expected given the state of Disney right now. My family was lucky enough to meet Nate at The Grand Floridian and again at Hollywood Studios on our last two recent trips to Disney World after hoping to run into him for years, so keep an eye out! He was so genuine and kind, just like you see in the videos! He took pictures and talked with us for quite awhile. My husband and kids were totally shocked to see him in person because we watch him all the time and it's like running into a celebrity.

Oh Nate..I wish I could show you around Epcot Center in the mid eighties. It was my absolute favorite place on earth. Especially Horizons and the Original Journey into Imagination with Dreamfinder and Figment.
