Fun fact, if you can make it to the far edge of the snorkeling/swimming area, there is a mickey statue in the water that is a pretty cool hidden mickey. Just beware, it is a long way out and getting back to shore feels like it takes an eternity! Lol. But still, Castaway Cay is a wonderful place.

I have to say I'm so proud of you and travis! I totally agree with you when you say you have to try new things on vacation! Castaway Cay is so beautiful! I wonder what their new island will be like. Looks like it was an perfect day! I can't snorkel. I tried on my honeymoon, but kept freaking out and could not trust the breathing tube. I am a good swimmer too, but just couldn't do it. Only 2 entrees and dessert? Try them all! No judgment here.

You absolutely need to take some swimming lessons. If you have kids you will need to be proficient for safety.

I am with you 100% on the snorkeling. I want to be able to do it. I have tried several times. I’m sure it’s beautiful underwater but I just feel like I can’t breathe and keep lifting my head out of the water. 🚫🤿
