Spinelli has a family friend in Miss Finster (who knew her grandmother), and emotional reinforcement from Miss Grotke. Add the Recess Gang to the list, and she's got one heck of a support system when things get rough... well, when they're not laughing at her, that is. She should feel really lucky to have them. Grotke gave a great message near the end. Growing up is hard enough without people being hard on each other for no reason.

I guess you are all missing the point, this episode represents something way more than calling your teacher mama, this actually goes to show that there are embarrassing situation that we and others go through but instead of making fun of them or making a big deal we should understand that it could happen to anyone and just let it slide, whatever happened happened. And yes Spinelli is super lucky to have a friend like TJ who was courageous enough to stand up for it
