Wow, I am so grateful I saw this review. Neither my daughter nor I can eat large portions, if we go we will stick with appetizers and dessert. I would not be a happy camper if I spent that kind of money and the meat wasn't outstanding.

We have learned a long time ago that if we are spending money for a steak or really anything else we we express our disappointment and they have always asked if we would like it remade or try something else. We always enjoy our dinners at Shula steakhouse at Dolphin. We used to feel funny saying something but over the years we realized if something is wrong we say something.

Hi @SWFL04 ! Yes, same. We really had a long delay in being served our food so I made the judgement call not to say anything. Plus, we really didn't see the server for awhile after we had been served, so by then, everyone was finished eating. She did offer to correct it (I also didn't like the Truffle Macaroni as it was dry and cold) but it was too late. Sometimes, I just chalk it up to a bad meal. I did think about having them redo the steak but I figured I would have gotten the same thing back. It's ok though, that's why we do this - to help you guys decide where you want to go when you visit! thanks so much for Traveling Around with us! We so appreciate you! So I have very strong feelings on both Yachtsmen and Le Cellier. I have been to both twice and both visits were spread apart by years. Neither of which I plan to go back to a third time for all of the reasons you both mentioned. It says a lot when the best dish in a steakhouse is the chicken. lol. Anyway, for the price you pay, it should be the best meal on property and I agree- so salty. That is the only flavor profile. Personally, my fave steaks on property are Flying Fish's char crusted strip steak and Narcoose's filet. Ironically, those restaurants are both known for their seafood, but their steak is incredible. I am a Texas Roadhouse girlie and I would choose their perfectly cooked and seasoned sirloin over Yachtsmen and Le Cellier any day. I am glad you confirmed what I have always thought.

Hi @Miche353 Yes, I agree with you! I'm glad you caught that about the chicken. Everything was very salty and I'm usually pretty tolerant. Yes, we loved Flying Fish. A Traveler Family member gave us some of the char that Flying Fish uses and its wonderful. I think it's just called Char Crust seasoning. We will try it again in a few months, once the new chef gets settled. Maybe that will make a difference. Thanks so much for Traveling Around with us! - Michelle

We went to Yachtsman last year at this time and thought it was us being judgemental, but we spent $700 for a 6 person meal and we had steaks & a Filet and we thought there was no flavor to the meat either. We were quite disappointed.

Thanks again Todd and Michelle, It was a great time! I would not make as good of a reviewer as you both are, Disney or not, I really haven't had a bad meal - I always find a positive something, even if it is "I liked the color of the plates... :) ". Now on a side note - We went to the Brown Derby in MGM ... I mean Hollywood Studios - for dinner the next night, I do have to say this filet was a world apart, flavorful, (although being addicted to salt - I had to add...) juicy, cooked a perfect medium, (on the rare side - but JUST the way I liked it). I think this is my favorite (and most recent) Filet on property. Heidi says the Cobb Salad was spot on also!

John the Brussels were good but definitely not the best. Honesty is what she is going to give you for sure good or bad. It is amazing though that people say she should be more diplomatic. We fill when you pay 57.00 for a steak it’s either good or bad No getting around the facts. Hope you guys are doing great and it’s definitely looking like a May visit. Thanks for the great video. Michelle, I also love Ice wine and I have never had a bad one. Ohio has numerous wineries around Lake Erie and the wines are outstanding.

Disney restaurants never seem to serve food piping hot .Fine dinner with heidi and kevin steak is a favorite the roasted garlic is a nice addition to the rolls and steaks

The last time we ate at Yachtsman was not good! I had filet and it had absolutely no flavor at all! Plus, they were taking our plates out from under us as we were still eating! We are taking a break from Yachtsman for a while. As always, another great video 😊👍

Our last visit to the Yachtsman Steak house, I really enjoy my filet but the meal was so rushed. I think we were in and out in under 45-50 minutes. We split two sides between the three of us and that was fine. We also split the dessert three way.! I don’t think I’d rush back anytime soon

Hi Guys! Love your reviews! We went to Yachtsman last week. The dinner was not good. We had the same meal about 6 months ago and it was amazing! The dinner 6 months ago, had the staff from Narcoossees, incredible service and food. This time, very underwhelming, our dinners came out with completely different meals the first time, then the second time out of the kitchen the medium well steak was over cooked. We probably won't be back since you experienced the same thing, it's likely not a one off bad night.

This restaurant has been on our list for a while but haven't made it yet. I have to say, the many reviews I've seen do seem to be hit and miss - so here's to hoping when we do finally make it there it is a hit lol. I must admit the last time we went to the Yachtsman steakhouse, we were very disappointed! In previous years it was fantastic, plus our server was spectacular! So my husband decided to go to celebrate his birthday. Wellll, my husband ordered a medium well done steak, came out rare and lukewarm, sent it back, came back medium rare, BUT still lukewarm. I ordered a filet minion medium rare, that was lukewarm, my son doesn’t like steaks or roast beef, so ordered onion soup. Anyway, his soup came back lukewarm! Asked our server to send ours back, she just rolled her eyes, at that point, my husband asked to speak to the manager. The manager was very apologetic, gave us a discount for one meal, and said he doesn’t understand what went wrong. Usually we overlook things, BUT, when our meal comes out twice lukewarm, plus our server was rude, it can bring an experience down! I also noticed the reviews went down quite substantially lower ( I followed all ears reviews and updates with menus). The review for the longest time was 9.5 to 89. After experiencing our last meal there, I can understand why. I will give them the benefit of the doubt, I think it depends on the cook/ chef, or if someone is having a bad day, but to have a meal sent back twice and it was bad both times, plus the server was rude, is unacceptable!

It was just ok the last time we dined there. Have had better steaks at Shula's, Narcoossees, Flying Fish, Longhorns, and Carrabba's (the filet marsala will knock your socks off). Le Cellier is another hit and miss place. But to tell y'all the truth we prefer the Crews Cup Lounge

This location just always seems to be a hit our miss. The review we did a couple of months earlier it was really good. Our recommendation would be just to ask for it to be nicely seasoned. The first time we tried it was fantastic the second not so good. It is a lovely location and definitely worth a try.
