I retired at age 53 and am now in my early 60s. Many people resisted me because they couldn't understand the idea of not working if you don't have to. I considered my life to be in phases. I worked very hard to achieve what I have now, but in my last years, I owe it to myself to "stop and smell the roses." After I retired, I left the nation and now reside in Latin America. I was able to enjoy my new surroundings and escape from all the bad things that were going on in America. I haven't yet encountered anyone who laments their retirement.

It's unfortunate most people don't have such information. I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. @PagingMrMorrow worst case to get water, turn off the water heater in the breaker, and then the water shut off near it. usually at the bottom is a hookup for a hose (to drain for yearly maintenance) where you can hook up a garden hose. you can use the clean water in the water heater this way. usually 50 gallons in most sizes.

Put some jugs of water in your freezer and get a large cooler. Stay safe! ❤ PS. Get large containers and fill them with boiled water and keep in the fridge!

I don’t understand why everyone is buying all the water. Isn’t Orlando tap water potable? As you say, you could boil it if you’re not sure and fill some empty jugs. I’m lucky I live where the tap water is excellent, so there’s no need to buy it.

Nate please be safe! Fill up your bath tub with water and as many glasses, pitchers, pots and pans too. Next year you might want to look into hurricane proof windows, doors, and garage doors. You need to make up a bunch of sand bags and stack them in front of your doors to try and help prevent flooding. I'm praying for you Nate!
