I was totally expecting Ella to be a sudden twist villain to Bridgette because of how she had been acting so suspicious, but I guess not. I also wonder why exactly the Queen of Hearts would want to make everyone fear her if she wanted to badly to make friends in the beginning. Like- if she had turned into a monster because of the VK’s prank, I imagine she would be trying to exact some sort of revenge, not make everyone afraid of her. It all just seemed a bit too rushed for the story to be fully put together.

i'm glad i'm not the only one who was bothered by the extras. it's like, every main character has the most bright, elaborate outfits, and the extras are literally just wearing regular clothes lmao. and to be fair, if we compare to d1, people are also wearing regular clothes, but the color palette is so saturated that it's not as noticeable. plus, the 4 vks are supposed to be outsiders, so they stand out at first, but gradually, their clothes blend more and more with the rest of the auradon kids. here, our main characters all have one outfit that we see them wear most of the time, so it's extra noticeable when everyone else is just wearing regular clothes. plus, i fell like there wasn't a lot of extras, the sets often felt empty. like, everything just felt small, most of the numbers were in that one courtyard, so it felt very repetitive. to be fair, they played with lighting a lot which saved them, but still, there was just an errie feeling of emptiness throughout. and yeah the adr-ed lines are so noticeable, I'm questioning if they changed an entire storyline. the ending felt so abrupt, the lack of castlecoming and proper conclusion made me think that they had a major change in script. it's like if at the end of camp rock 1, we never saw final jam, or if in coco, he found ernesto delacruz and just got his approval, like there is a huge chunk of logical storytelling missing

My theory is that in original timeline the villains couldn't use book so they tricked ella somehow into pranking bridget. After beings betrayed by her one and only friend bridget must of decided if she couldnt make friends then shell make them fear her to the point they wouldn't dare mess with her like that again. As for sequel either we get wicked witch daughter or uluanna found away to follow them. Thus why we met uma aunt as a kid and not her mom.

I totally understand where your coming from, but in Descendants 3 during the parade there’s a queen of hearts symbol, and if you search it up or go to that scene in the movie and look closely, you can see it, which means that Disney was planning this. But I think they were planning to add new characters with Mal,Evie, Carlos and Jay. Since in all of the previous movies they added new characters. In Descendants 2 they added Uma and her pirates. In the 3, they added Hades.
