Wow, usually Disney Store wins these hands-down, but good on Jakks for making such good representations of the characters! Definitely wouldn't be mad if the Disney Princess license somehow left Hasbro and found its way over to JP

I fell in love with Encanto. Mirabel is one of the most relatable protagonists in a long, long time. The entire movie really hits home that I've watched it several times now and I'm obsessed. Both sets have their highs and lows, but I think in the end they're both worth it. The Jakks set is perfect if you don't really care for details and articulation.

Jakks Pacific has released dolls for Dolores and Bruno. No Camilo yet, but Walmart's Karma's World Winston Torres doll may make a good ooak until then

I personally prefer the Jakks ones faces for Isabella and Toñito but other than that I say Disney all the way! They made Mirabel and Luisa looks straight out of the movie and not to mention the clothes! The only thing I would change would be Toñito and Isabella’s faces for the Jakks ones Edit: I also really hope they make dolls for the rest of the family! Specially Camilo and Bruno

Yeah, Jakks Antonio's face is the only plus I would give to the Jakks line personally. I care more about movie-accurate face, articulation and movie-accurate outfits.

wow Im really surprised how accurate to the movie this dolls are, IMO the Jakks pacific heads look better (except mirabel's, I prefer the Disney store one) but I LOVE articulated bodies so I would prob buy the body and head separately and do a mix lol

I haven't seen any new Disney stuff since Moana (especially when I got turned all the way off a lot by Disney when they tried to copyright the actual holiday Dia De Los Muertos for Coco) but Isabella with her deep skin and purple dress is tempting me to watch it... she looks like a star. I'm not surprised but still disgusted that for 100 dollhairs the Disney didn't do much if at all better than JP's 40 dollhair set.

I honestly don’t know which I prefer. I have the Disney Store set ‘cause I got a discount too (definitely wouldn’t have spent $100 on it) but if I hadn’t, I would have been satisfied with the Jakks Pacific one. And yes, please Disney, take the license away from Hasbro and give it to Jakks Pacific!!!

I loved the movie so much, and Luisa is my fav, for sure! As for these dolls... Antonio; Jakks - Love the doll, the outfit is meh vs Disney Store - Better outfit, and while I like the articluation, I'd headswap it with the Jakk's one. Isabela; Jakks - Omg, her face, yes. I like the sleeves better on the Jakks doll. vs Disney Store - Bad facemold. Dress is okay. Ah, so I was right in that her proportions seems a bit off. In both dolls, her complexion looks a little too dark compared to the movie. Mirabel; Jakks - Nha, I prefer the Disney one overall. vs Disney Store - A+ for the glasses. They aren't clunky. Luisa; Jakks - Same as Mirabel. vs Disney Store - Face, yes, and dress as well.

I think the Disney Store dolls are much better , the only thing I don't understand is why the Mirabel doll in this set is not the same as the the single package doll with the sound (she sings Welcome to the Family Madrigal) . Just the animals are at least $20 worth .

I like the Disney dolls more because they are articulated. I only purchased the Mirabel singing doll from the Disney store because that is my favorite character from Encanto.

Jakks hands down better quality. Wish they were articulated but even still AMAZING. Nice hefty dolls and better daxe sculpts in my opinion.

I prefer more screen accurate faces , they have more personality, and yes I also agree that there is a drop in quality in Disney Store's dolls, when I got my Classic Esmeralda doll, I noticed right away she has less amount of hair, and the fabric of her clothes feels thinner in comparison of the other Disney Store dolls I own

I feel like the both failed to capture the look, detail, and feel of the outfits.😕 Mirable's dress should be pashmina with sewn/stitched on butterflies & flowers, not printed on. Isabella should have a layered dress made with silk or satin with mish on top. Luisa's dress should have a dimity top with a rayon skirt & sewn in dumbells. And little Antonio should have his outfit in three separate pieces, with pants & vest being made from suede.

I did buy the Jakks Pacific dolls. I wanted the Disney store set but I’m too broke. I don’t really mind the fact that they aren’t fully articulated since I don’t play with them. I think Jakks Pacific did a great job on the dolls. I’m saying this even though I don’t have the Disney dolls to compare it to, haha!

These dolls aren’t for me, but it is interesting to see what gets cut to reduce cost. Too bad Disney isn’t better for the price, because they should be the ones to offer top quality dolls of their characters.

I prefer disney shop deluxe doll set, they are more like the characters from the film I guess, that's what I feel. I ordered em on internet two weeks ago and received them today. It's very sad that it's a movie which takes place in Colombia and these sets are not avaible here in Colombia toy shops. Anyhow, very glad I got them finally.

Jakks pacific has done a good job with Encanto dolls and they are only 9 dollars the individual dolls. Shade to MGA with nightmare ella those dolls are ulgy as sh*t and they are 9 dollars to what the hell?🤔 Lazy excuse for a buged doll line. I hope Jakks get the license to the Disney Princesses, they do better than hasbro's (action, painted figure, no articilated, expensive) princesses 🤒🤒🤒🤒.

A little miffed that the Luisas can't be as easily swapped head wise because that was my exact plan LOL Overall I definitely agree that the Jakks heads are FAR superior to the disney store ones - not just the hair but the more neutral sculpting in general - and figured that the Disney clothes would in turn be better but they definitely only have that articulation going for them.

I got my hands on some separate jakks dolls (no Walmart in county) and I am impressed with the face moulds and actually prefer the dress on Isabella they seem sturdy and perfect for kids or box displays however as an adult I’d much prefer more articulation and separate layers of clothes like in the Disney pack (and a Luisa ;~;) I can’t justify buying and shipping the Disney pack but if I could I’d absolutely head swap them (ex Luisa) and let my cousins and siblings play with the more sturdy body’s and so so moulds.

Is Luisa's bow red in the movie? I have OCD and am wondering b/c her skirt has hot pink stripes so that seems odd that her skirt doesn't have red on it. Did the Jakk's doll give her a red bow? My daughter Louisa has the Disney one that has a hot pink bow and I am sometimes bugged when toy versions verve off the movie character. Yeah, I had 2 buy Isabella n Mirabel as soon as I saw da movie. I didn't feel dat way about Raya. Jakk Pacific's dolls r so much cuter n have much richer hair. Disney got da better dress details, doh. I realized dat da "scuff" marks on DS Isabella's forehead is supposed 2 b fine baby hairs as upon my 5th viewing if da film I noticed how dey animated Isabella wit peach fuzz on her forehead n dis is accurate 4 a lot of people in real life wit thick hair, esp Latinos. I like how u referred 2 ur dolls as bitches. 🤣 Happy Collecting, cheers 🤘😜✌️

I like that the Disney store dolls are articulated, but some of the faces just look weird, and it really bugs me when dolls are looking off to the side instead of forward, anyone else get bugged about that? Just a preference thing. Still gonna be hard to decide. I like the disneystore mirabel more, her hair looks better to me, the jp hair is just crazy. I like the jakks Isabella better, the face is more accurate and the hair looks better. The Disney face for Antonio is crazy looking. The Luisas are about the same for me. Might just get both and swap heads or something.

I purchased both sets too and Luisa and Isabela are my favs! I love the body on Luisa and have played with swapping their heads. I put the Jakks head on my Disney body for Isabela too. I love that so many Etsy shop have made clothes for the Encanto dolls! I have found some teddy bear clothes also work for Luisa. I swap out some of the clothes I have for my Big and Beautiful Dasia doll on my Luisa doll too. They are friends in my dolliverse.

Okay my opinion on these dolls or Disney ones have articulation and nicer looking close but some of the Jack specific headscarves and faces are way better (Mirabelle and Antonio ) Louisa and Isabella have great faces for both of them but the only thing I really don’t like about the encounter dolls is Mirabelle face and to extend her hair it’s just a thesis creepy with that big giant smile I don’t hate dolls that smile is just kind of uncanny also she have a giant forehead like she’s shaved in front of her hair its place so I don’t like and Antonio smile is a little better but the Jack specific one is so cute Also please forgive me if I said any of the names wrong I’m not a Spanish speaker and not a good spelling either

I agree with you. The articulation for the Disney Hasbro dolls is better than the Jacks Pacific, but the face sculpts on the Jacks Pacific dolls are better than the Disney Hasbro dolls. But I like the way that Disney Hasbro did the hair of Louisa better than the Jacks Pacific Louisa doll. And I THINK I saw my favorite doll repainter Poppen Atelier, create a new outfit and repainted the face of the Jacks Pacific Isabella doll. If you like doll repaint videos, I suggest you check her out.
