Do you have more info on the free photo op my sister is debating on getting the memory maker or not. Mmm now I am thinking about checking into paypal credit card (as you can use that to purchase gift cards) as the regular card does not give much benefits on regualr purchases unless you live around Disney or go there a lot.

We've done the free photo ops many times. It's nice to have an we've never had to wait very long for them. You can get access to the photo op with the no-fee credit card, too. So you don't have to get the premium card to access that.

There are definitely other cards that are a better deal, but if you're a Disney fan, it may still be worth it. We get some extra perks and Disney redemption dollars are as good as cash to us - we can ALWAYS use them. For many people though, other cards may be a better fit.

Yes, it’s a regular Visa. You can use it anywhere.

The premier card makes sense for people who go to Disneyland or world at least once a year. A trip to either park will easily hit the $2,450 price tag to account for the $49 annual fee and the 10% discount on dining and shopping is a bonus at that point. And that’s just if you use it once a year to pay for your Disney trip. If you’re like me, a Disney dad, you try and take your family multiple times a year for your own enjoyment. I normally put everything on my credit card and then at the end of each day I transfer from my checking to my credit account. I never pay interest on anything and I monitor my finances. You build up the Disney bucks to spend towards your trips and Merch and get discounts while you’re there. Yes you get higher cash back rates usually by 1% from other cards, but this card allows the discount which can be huge on a 2 or 3 day trip in the park.

They need to up the 2% to 3% for at least the Disney purchases to make this card useful. 2% is too low to make the card valuable to get. Now I do agree part of the reason I do want the card is simply the sentiment of the designs on the card.

That's a good question. If you get the regular Disney Visa, there's no annual fee. If you get the Premiere card, there IS an annual fee. So be careful which one you're applying for.

Me and one of my family members are planning to apply for the Disney rewards credit card as there's $400 statement credit after spending $1,000. Do you know that it is possible to combine the points with my family members or friends? I understand the rewards points that we are going to earn can be transferred to each redemption cards but each points that we are going to earn can be combined to 1 redemption card? So that...when i book for staying a Disney resorts, I can use those points at once. Thank you.

That's a really good offer right now. I think it was only $200 when I got my Disney Visas. I don't think it's possible to combine the redemption cards, but it is possible to make separate payments with different cards. For example, if we booked a Disney resort, we could use the points on my redemption card to make a payment on our reservation, then do a separate payment with my husband's redemption card.

Another version of the Chase Disney Visa that is available is the Disney Debit Visa, and it's free and you just have to have a checking account with Chase as I have this version of the Disney Visa, but the one thing you don't get is the rewards and you only get the Disney discounts and free perks at Disney.

Hi sweetheart I got question regarding the premier card. I only go to Disney once a year I don't buy lot from Disney store. If I make a purchase of $1,000. I would get $300 credit instantly after making the purchase at Disney?? To use on food or gift shops? Im not good with stuff like this. Help this momma out.

Yes, if you get the Disney premiere Visa (the one with the $49 annual fee) and spend $1,000 or more on it in the first 3 months, at the end of that period, you would get a $300 statement credit. If you choose the regular Disney Visa (the one without an annual fee), the offer is a $150 statement credit on $500 in purchases. These are the current offers and they can change over time. These offers will appear as credits on your statement, so they could be applied to any purchases on the card. On the other hand, as you use the Disney Visa for qualifying purchases and earn Disney Rewards Points, you can redeem them for money on a Disney Redemption Card. Those funds can ONLY be used at Disney.

I think it’s 10% off purchases of $50 or more at Disney theme parks at retail locations. There is also a 10% discount at shop Disney.com. I’m not certain whether it’s also subject to the $50 minimum, but it may be.

That's a really good question. I would probably allow at least a couple of weeks to get the card. The good thing is that once you have a redemption card, you can go online and transfer the points into Disney rewards dollars immediately for subsequent transfers, so you don't need to order a new card each time. I think the minimum transfer amount is $10. I do plan on making a video in the future about how to transfer and use points but I don't have one yet. Thanks so much for watching!

I think it makes more sense if you spend money consistently at Disney or on shopdisney.com. You'll probably find other cards that give you slightly more money back. But for frequent Disney visitors, it's a better deal.

So the annual fee on the premiere Disney visa is $49. If you made purchases on that card that only qualified for 1% in Disney rewards, you'd need to spend $4,900 to break even BUT if you made purchases that qualified for the 2% rewards (charges on Disney purchases), you'd only have to spend $2,450 to break even. Of course, the first year you sign up, you could qualify for the promotional deal, which currently offers a $300 statement credit, so that would make up for several years of the fee as well.

There are two versions of this card. One with no annual fee and another with an annual fee, but earns higher rewards points. If you're concerned about the annual fee, but you still want a Disney branded card, definitely go with the version without the annual fee.

Good morning. Excellent vid that explains the program very clearly. Great job! I have the Premiere version of the card. I put everything that I can on the card and then pay it off monthly. It's amazing how quickly the "Mickey Dollars" (as we call them) add up! We are relatively new DVC members and were happy to discover that we could pay our annual dues using the Rewards dollars. It's become a running gag with my wife and son to use the Disney Chase Visa and proclaim, "Groceries for Mickey," or "An oil change for Mickey." There's been some amusing ones over the years, like when we bought a cutlery set, "Knives for Mickey," and "Sangria for Mickey." We love the card plus the design (Mickey, Goofy, and Donald) gets frequent comments from people.

Yes, I think the card with no annual fee is good to have if you visit the parks regularly. We were just at Disneyland and the photo ops are "magic" shots where you pose and they add characters to them. It's not a huge perk, but it is nice to have a free family photo and when we were there, we didn't have to wait at all for the photos, which was nice. I really don't think there's a downside to having the no fee card, as long as you pay it off in full each month.
