Disney World Reservation Tutorial
With so many changes happening so quickly, I am realizing that a very basic tutorial of simply how to book dining and special event reservations at Disney World would be helpful. Today I am sharing how to schedule dining reservations from both the Android Mobile App of the My Disney Experience and the website for Walt Disney World. Share below if you have any more questions. I would start at 5:40 am eastern and start with your least likely chance like the most popular restaurant or busiest day (Christmas Day at MK for example.) I prefer to use the availability option so I can see all of my options.

Hi. You had a lotvof great info but the only thing I think would be more appealing to your videos would be showing some shots from your trip. As a new person searching for info like crazy it really helps seeing the other vloggers pics. Like I'd have loved to have seen some of your dessert party pics, doesn't have to be your actual families faces but just the area, the distance from where you see the fireworks etc. I do really appreciate that you did the dining app for us to see, that was helpful and not everyone does that. Anyway, just thought I'd share a thought with you from a newbie. 😊

Hey there, I just attempted to “practice” reserve royal table for my 60 days out in about a week. I hit refresh exactly at 6 am and they we’re gone. Do you have any tips on how to have the best chance? Like constantly start refreshing at 5:59 or does searching availability in dining in general versus going to the restaurants page specifically give you better chance? Anything at all would help.

The reservations won't show available to you for your dates until the 60 day mark (plus how many days you're staying on property.) If you're trying now, keep in mind that people have been able to book them for 10 days already even though they "just" opened up. My best tips are to be refreshing the screen 20 minutes early because sometimes it does open before the time. I also have another video that might help.

Hi! This video was so helpful :) I'm making my disney reservations in a few days and currently when I look on the calendar on the website it only goes until 60 days, instead of the 60 days + 10 days since I'm staying on site. Not sure if this changes once my 60 day period starts but I was wondering if you knew!

It will magically open up once you hit your reservation day and are logged into the MDE. Right now, anyone can make reservations at 60 days out. You'll get the on-site perk of 60+10 once your 60 day mark hits. Being logged in let's them associate your account with that +10 benefit.

I was logged on and refreshing for Yak and Yeti reservations right at 6am and it refreshed and came up with a message saying nothing available. This can’t be true. All reservations for Yak and yeti could not have been taken in less than 1 second. It’s impossible.

There's usually an explanation. Are you certain that today is your 60 days? Maybe the system was glitching, have you tried again? Did other things open up? Yak and Yeti is a Landry owned restaurant and you can use their Landry Select Club card to help with seating. touringplans.com/blog/landrys-select-club-card-faqs/

How does the 60+10 work? I have a reservation at WDW for 11 nights. Does that mean in addition to the normal 60 day advance reservation, am I able to book 10 days earlier?

A lot of people get confused here, because it's confusing! So basically, if you check in (vacation starts) 60 days from today, your dining reservation window opens. You can then book for the day 60 days from now, first day, and for 10 days after. So it keeps you from having to get up and do reservations every single day. I do not believe that you would be able to do reservations for that last day. You should be able to schedule those on what would be 59 days from your first day, 60+10 from that 11th day. I hope that's clear. So your 60 days starts from your first day and then continues from there forward for 60 days. So day 2 of vacation would be 61 days from today, day 3 62 days from today and so forth for 10 days.

For park reservations and lightning lanes, you need a reservation if they have a ticket. For dining you need to include everyone even if they're infants and won't eat.

We enjoyed Chef mickey's! I love crystal palace in MK but I don't believe Pooh and his friends are back yet. We love Tusker House in AK. Hollywood & Vine in HS.

So if i'm checking in at my WDW resort on 12/11/2021 but I'm not going to a Disney park until 12/14/21, can I still book my reservations tomorrow as that is my 60 days?

It should be 60 days from your date of check in, plus 10. Meaning up to a 10 day on site stay call all be booked at 60 days.
