Brianna, you can technically scan into your lightning lane up to 2 hr and 59 min after the window expires. Some Disney reporters showed this in a video. I wouldn’t rely on it as strategy but no harm in trying if you think you missed it and still want to ride!

HAHA - you're so right, I was thinking more water rides / things that can get you wet. Like Animal Kingdom has the rapids water ride, Magic Kingdom has Tiana's, Pirates, the splash pads, etc. however now that you say that, Epcot has so many splash pads lol
