Yes, Publix is one of the more expensive food stores. You get quality there. Walmart is the least expensive. Thanks for taking us along on your Disney adventure.

My husband and I usually go to the local grocery store to buy meals when we travel to save money, and then pick one or two nice restaurants to eat at as a treat. Lets us spend money on fun things elsewhere in the trip like souvenirs and what not.

I would completely fill my water bottle with ice and then add a little water and as it would slowly melt you'd have ice water for a few hours.

Publix is a bit more high end. There is Winn Dixie by Disney Springs or Aldi's near the Vineland outlets. You wont get some of the neat things that you get at Publix, but it's much cheaper and the food is good. Glad you are enjoying your trip!

Enjoyed your day at the MK. Thanks for showing us the stuff you are doing outside of the disney bubble as well. So Publix is a grocery store and Walmart is a full service store. So at Publix you can get groceries, some toiletries, & meds. At Walmart you can do everything from getting your oil & tires changed on your car, buy pretty much anything you need from plants, toys, clothes, food - etc. Walmart is going to be a little cheaper because they buy so much in bulk for their stores across the country. Publix is just in the the southern states (mostly the southern states on the east coast). They are know for their Buy one get one free offers on items. We don’t have publix where we live so we love shopping there when we are on vacation where there is one. Looking forward to the rest of your vlogs.

I have always loved It's a Small World. I just went on it with my four-year-old granddaughter three weeks ago at Disneyland and loved it all over again, as did she! It was her favorite. Thanks for sharing, Catherine!

Floridian here, and YES! Publix is insanely expensive! We don't shop there anymore because of the prices. We do our grocery shopping at walmart or target now. We go in publix maybe once or twice a year and that's just around thanksgiving and christmas because they'll have good BOGO deals. And btw I love that someone from another country even noticed it was too expensive! lol I feel better that it's not just me.

Love this series, you guys look like you are so happy. Publix is like waitrose but food is just more expensive in General in the U.S. then in the UK. I had the exact opposite reaction to grocery shopping when I visited Wales over the summer!

I’ve never been to Disney although we’ve done a couple Disney cruises with kids. I’m not for character rides - I grew up in the same city as Six Flags which was almost always just thrill rides and coasters.

Publix is just a plain grocery store. The issue is the US has experienced crazy inflation (in general prices up over 9% this year over 2021). That’s why your grocery bill was frightening. It’s killing us all!!!! (BTW, the price on that little jacket wasn’t bad! Hope you got it-it was cute!)

Loving the Disney videos! And hello from a Florida native! Publix is really expensive- so Aldi and Walmart would be better for snacks and food in my opinion. I think using an app like InstaCart would deliver groceries to your hotel too. I find Aldi’s generic brands to be just as tasty for only a few dollars for a snack etc. I also love shopping at a Trader Joe’s! I only live about 2 hours from Disney and these videos make me wish I went to the parks more 😅 but the prices just keep going up! I did have an annual pass at the start of 2020 but covid canceled everything and haven’t been back since. Their Christmas tree and decorations are my favorite!!

Im. full quickly, but if I eat the wrong foods, I get hungry within a hour, so Its best to fill up on protien or good foods, but I didnt let that stop me on this nholiday I eat what I want in moderation!

Publix is definitely more expensive than Wal-Mart and considered more ~bougie if you want to use that word, but Publix draws people in with the weekly BOGO free deals where you can find a super wide range of items at two for the price of one. But I agree, food here is more costly in general most places; when I was in the UK I was shocked by how inexpensive Lidl was until I had to convert the pounds on my American credit card 😅

I live in Florida no Publix prices are always more expensive then other grocery stores. Shopping at Walmart always gets u better prices. Publix is more of a better shopping experience for how neat they keep things but Walmart is better for your budget lol

I’d love to know what date this was as we were there from 17th October and we did pay the extra for genie plus. It wasn’t great in our first day in MK but it was great on other days in combination with early park entry. We just found MK was soo busy during the day and there were soo many other things to watch and do there.

We were there from the 13th! This was on the 14th Yes Magic Kingdom always seemed to be busy, we didn't end up doing Genie Plus at all, we would probably reccomend it for Hollywood studios though, but we did manage to ride everything! We let everyone know in our upcoming vlogs exactly how long the standby queue was hehe xxx

Really interesting to hear your wait times. Since we had a few sit down meals and breaks at the hotel, I do think genie plus helped everywhere except MK but that was partly because Thunder and Seven Dwarfs went down with the weather too.
