I think the reason why Mattel will never release Dale Earnhardt Jr again is mostly because of Teresa Earnhardt and she’s very strict when it comes to people making stuff the includes stuff like the Dale Jr #8 or the DEI stripes (the design on the DEI cars like Budweiser or NAPA) along with using the Dale Sr #3 or making any car that’s black with a Dale Sr #3 on it. Because of Dale Sr’s death in 2001, Teresa Earnhardt said or mentioned that she never wants to see the black #3 on the track ever again or see anyone use any of those things I mentioned. I also think Mattel won’t re release him probably because they probably don’t have the rights or license to make him anymore, same with the Ferrari, I could be wrong tho. When it comes to his paint job, he has the DEI stripe design as you see on his paint job. This livery that he has in Cars 1 is based on the ionic red Budweiser #8 car that Dale Jr ran in the early 2000s. Same of the other cars in the DEI team also ran similar paint schemes with the DEI stripes such as NAPA Auto Parts for the #15 car and the Pennzoil car for the #1 car. It’s simple, but the design looks nice, it almost reminds me of the Penske scallops that Team Penske used for almost all of their paint schemes. Whoever design Dale Jr as a Next Gen seems kinda unfitting considering he’s a retired NASCAR driver, but does come back occasionally in some races. Maybe they made the #8 font different along with a completely new design. I’d imagine it’d look cool, but kinda too much. If Dale Jr were to return in the new Cars movies, his number would be 88 which represents the number he ran for Hendrick Motorsports. Oh, not to mention. They retired the #8 car since 2008 or 2009 I believe, but brought the #8 car back in Cup in 2018 with RCR. As for Dale’s primary paint schemes, he always used to have those red Budweiser cars, then he would have some Mountain Dew cars or National Guard cars. In the mid 2010s, he had Nationwide as his sponsor along with another one in Xfinity which is Hellmann’s Mayonnaise.

I wish they would re-release Dale. He's just as rare as the Apple Car. He's a very special guy! I remember seeing concept art of him at the Art of Animation resort in DisneyWorld. (I stayed at the Hilton but visited that resort just for the Cars section) I love the looks of him and he needs to be included in the NASCAR wave! But probably not cause of licensing and copyright because of Dale's stepmom. Very cool with the signature on the bottom! I also love the information you provided about this guy. Once again, you're informative! Also, not to be random but since its kinda related... I got a Owen Wilson/Loki ad on this video. Coincidence? I think not! Great vid once again!

Mattel could get away with releasing Dale Jr in the NASCAR line if they change the number to 88 and design a brand new paint scheme. The copyright that Dale’s stepmom owns is for the 8 and it’s matching paint scheme. It would be really cool to see him return with a more recent paint scheme.

Awesome review on Dale Jr from Cars 1 along with his MSOTS variant and customs! I like the original version better than the rubber tire release/MSOTS variant along with the weird looking RPM model of Dale Jr, almost looks cursed, ngl. But I like the unique model Dale Jr has on his original release from 2007/2008, especially the happy expression whereas the MSOTS version has an angry expression like all of the Nitroade models. I do wish the original version has black rims instead of grey, but the grey rims still look nice. And I also like the custom hauler and crew chief for Dale Jr even though the shade of red is completely different when you compare them side by side. But I do like the bright red and I can definitely tell that this hauler came from the No Stall hauler because of the color and expression he has! I also remember another person making a custom Dale Jr hauler, idk if it’s the same shade of red as Dale himself tho? Either way, nice looking customs of the hauler and crew chief! 👍

I think they haven't released any crew mates or rereleased Dale himself since 2010 due to rights issues. I think Dale Earnhardt Inc doesn't exist anymore so it's probably a legal gray area

Great video on Dale Jr team DD there was a reason Dale didn’t appear in Cars 3 or get any teammates ever since the death of Dale Jr dad in 2001 his mom was to depressed to run Dale Earnhardt Inc and shut down the company down in 2009 and yes Dale Earnhardt Inc was a real company again great video and great cars

Hey, I'm a NASCAR fan, and I'm just getting back into the cars franchise. I will give all of you an in depth explanation of the Teresa Earnhardt situation. Dale Earnhardt was one of, if not the greatest driver of all time, until his tragic death in 2001. Because of this, his team, Dale Earnhardt Inc. (DEI), was split between Teresa Earnhardt and Dale Jr. Around 2010, Dale Jr left DEI which left pretty much all of the team to Teresa, who is extremely overprotective of the Earnhardt brand. Dale Jr went on to race for Hendrick Motorsports, and is now retired and considered another legend of the sport. DEI went on a major downfall, and the team was eventually partially sold to Chip Ganassi, until Teresa decided to let DEI fold, and the team went fully under around 2015. Even though the team doesn't perform anymore, a lot associated with DEI is still copyrighted. The Number and even the design on the side of the diecast is copyrighted by her. So, the diecast will probably never be made again and become rare. Just thought I would share! (Sorry for anyone who is unfamiliar with motorsport)

To clear things up, only reason why there’s not been any diecasts of him since 2009, his stepmom dosent want the company to make diecasts of him. So if you want Dale Jr diecasts, I suggest going to Lionel Racing, there you have a load of Chase Elliott and Dale Jr, not to mention Mickey Larson

Actually if we calculate all the sponsors in all 3 Cars movies, there will be 43 racers in total, so thats why the hist said there are 43 cars in Florida 500, but we found that there are only 35 cars
