That's the thing that's lost on most ppl! The Song 🎵 Girls 👧 aren't Cheerleaders! They don't stunt, they don't compete with other Cheer Squads from other Universities! They dance 💃 😍 💀 🤣 to really intricate choreography at all functions as part of the Spirit of Troy!

That 2017 Rose Bowl was a helluva game with USC beating Penn State 52-49 on a last second field goal and having been down by 14 points going into the fourth quarter.

Now this is an example of having a long enough window of time as a videographer and you've the luxury of panning around and taking in a wider/broader vignette of the place you are shooting. When you've a lot less time ( under 2 minutes i.e.) you have to pick and choose. Because if you aren't careful you lose your audience! In this video you get to see the USC band, the Song girls and the interaction with the audience. Good shoot!

As a Tide fan and a former marching band drummer, I can say the MDB is good and I like their version of "Tusk." The thing is that their version deviates from Fleetwood Mac record too much for me to say it's better than USC's. MDB's "Tusk" is several clicks too fast, and the drumline parts (particularly the tenors parts) in that version are not as complex as the parts in USC's version.

As a former band geek, I can say first-hand that even the band, sometimes, gets tired of playing the fight song... when you play it after every touchdown and you have one of the best teams in the area, you end up playing it ...a LOT. That being said ~ Tribute to Troy will NEVER be one that gets old.
