My husband and I went down there on this day, May 4th, our 23rd anniversary and found out that Disneyland was closed! We both said, "Disneyland never closes." It was by special invitation only. :( So we stayed another day and went the following day. I still remember my first time going in 1956. It is the most magical place on earth. RIP Walt Disney. Thank you for all the wonderful memories.

The song "Remember when" is so beautiful and really touching and really matches Disneylands wonderful History Thank you for being magical Disneyland for 50 years :) P.S.i never been to Disney land before hope to go in 2019. Back in he 50th anneversery there was a new parade called: Parade of Dreams and a spectacular decorated castle with gold things XD,And to top it off a spectacular Firework show called: Remember Dreams come True telling about all Disney past and stories of Disney in general AKA: Pirate of carribean,Haunted mansion star wars etc. Plus more attractions go through into other Disney parks

I remember being there. Was over to the left of the Walt statue torwards Adventureland/frontierland entrances. I remember lots of people booing Michael Eisner lol (music was cranked up for the video here). Was an awesome day. The Steve Martin stuff you watched instead of the stuff the President was really good while it lasted.

Well that's all fine, the press release was 2006, you think they announce it the same day they sign the contract? no Oswald was exchanged in early 2005 with NBC Universal for sportscaster Al Michaels to release him from his working contract so that he could go work under Universals NBC Sport, the company saw Oswald as a fair exchange along with other assets they were aiming to obtain. The contract like many others, Disney being a Public company, their contracts are available to be seen

Where was Oswald in the welcoming home celebration? It was his welcoming home party seeing as the Disney company is now in ownership of him and has been from 2005.
