I have been to Disney twice in the rain. It was great!!!

I went to Disneyland for the first time in 14 years BECAUSE it was raining. Gore-Tex boots, pants and jacket make it so the rain doesn’t even matter. They do launch the fireworks in the rain (as long as it’s not windy). Rainy days are my favorite!

I love rainy Disneyland days! My man and I dress in foul weather pants and jacket over a thermal layer and stay pretty dry. He pushes me in a wheelchair so it is hard for either of us to hold an umbrella. But the rain gear keeps us nice and dry. I plan ahead with breakfast/lunch reservations to guarantee a seated (and dry) meal. We do all the things you mentioned and love the extra magic that rain brings to the parks.

Our last day at Disneyland was a rainy day, actually really great, no crowds, Small World starting in the rain. Splash Mountain, Glad we had already done a day at Disneyland when it wasn't raining

I was in the park a few years ago a week after Labor Day, and there was a day when the rain came down hard. The park was still packed, mostly with tourists from Australia taking their spring break. I guess they don't mind the rain.

Fun fact the fact that all the shops on main Street are attached is also really helpful if there's a parade and you need to navigate main Street, or you get sensory overload or anxiety and you have to go take a break. Same with the animation academy building. I'm from Scotland and I really don't like heat, and I also have autism so sensory overload can affect me. So sometimes if I need a break but I don't want to leave the park, I just go in there where it's air conditioned and there's pretty things to look at and less screaming children and you've got a fair amount of things to do.

from a fellow cast member who works in the animation building, I highly recommend visiting in the rain! Many characters will be in the building, like Chip n Dale, Pluto, and Vampirina. They run around and dance along to the songs, it always make my day working there more exciting!

Great video!! I took my son for the first time a few weeks ago for his birthday. At first we were bummed about the rain but then we walked onto Soaring 5 times in two days, never had a wait for Astroblasters, and had a max wait of 20 minutes for Midway mania. Plus knowing we had three days gave us chance to chill out about the rides that were closed. It’s pretty sweet in the rain.

amazon has shoe wraps you can buy to keep the water out of your shoes. It even has an elastic tie up top that helps keep the water out of the tops of your shoes.

We just got home from Disney. We were there the same day as you! We had no wait times accept for the Indian Jones ride. Everything else was basically just a walk on. We are from Spokane, WA so this "rainy day" was like spring to us. It was an awesome time!

I was at Disneyland this past Saturday, and it was some of the heaviest rain I've ever seen. The Esplanade and a couple other areas had massive puddles. On the upside almost everything was a walk on!!

I have been to disneyland ONCE in the rain it was 2002 i think i was in the 6th grade lol But it was during spring break so it was great because there was no crowds. We were not prepared I got soaked! and my aunt had to buy me new shoes, socks and pants!!! But it was a fun time! that trip was also my first time to DCA!

HEY! That's me in the green jacket in the background at 2:42! Great videos, man. They helped me plan our family trip last week. I remember seeing you as we were walking out of the park. I wanted to say hi, but forgot your name in the moment. Anyway, we were soaked and went back to the hotel to recoup, and came back that night when the rain, crowds, and lines all died down to barely anything. It was a great night! Rainy days definitely have benefits.

I did not have a good experience the last time it was raining in Disneyland. Make sure you have a poncho, umbrella, a waterproof bag, a hand towel unless you want to sit on a wet chair (even though there are umbrellas at the table the chairs were wet) and good shoes (I kept slipping). I got cold so make sure you dress warmly if it rains during fall and winter seasons. While I was at Disneyland it was still crowded when it was raining so I wouldn’t count on it being less crowded during the peak seasons.

NOTHING and I do mean nothing beats Disneyland in the rain. Being from Oregon/Wa.. rain does not scare me or stop me lol. The park in the rain is an entirely different experience.. more room to move.. shorter lines if you have to wait at all!! My tip is where flip-flops and roll those pants up. Then you don't spend the day with wet socks and pants!! We killed it on our rainy day... riding rides multiple times without ever exiting the ride.🌟🌟🌟

I LOVE the animation academy. Last time I was in Disneyland my mom left me to go Uber for a few hours and I was kind of done with rides so I spent 2 hours in the animation academy and made like 4 drawings.

When I was little I had a few dance team trips to Disneyland that ended up being during wet weekends. They definitely weren’t as fun as the dry ones, but with a nicely made poncho that covers past your butt when you sit, you’re really good to go! Some of the best rides (Soarin’, GotG Mission Breakout, Star Tours, Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, and Space Mountain) are all indoors.

I had 2 out of 4 rainy days on my visit in Dec. Yeah, the less crowds were nice, but a lot of outdoor shows, characters, and rides were closed which was definitely a downer since we couldn't just go next week

My tips: wear flip flops or crocs (they will dry up really fast on the rides or while indoors which your feet will be healthy and naturally be warm while wet shoes and socks take forever to dry). Dont buy the poncho, just get a trash bag or an umbrella. Eat the bread bowls or better yet have a sit down meal instead of a snack. Ride all the rides and appreciate that hardly anyone is there

I was there too...the kids couldn't handle it and we left. The streets were flooded and the mudslides messed it up. I disagree with yours socks idea...I wore shorts made of a quick dry material and plastic birkenstocks...all was good. Bummed that a guy had gotten off Space Mt mid ride causing it to be shut down for days.
