ALL travel is stressful, there is no way around that! I am amazed at how people forget what a pain in the butt getting to places is. Thats why I enjoy watching The Lodge Guys travel adventures, I get to see the best things without getting out of my recliner! LoL In my younger days I had those exact same airport experiences, nothing changes!

I don’t envy you that flying experience! I’m not sure which would be worse - standing in line or sitting all that extra time on the plane waiting for everyone to get on.

Going to miss watching all these DLP vlogs. We love visiting we were there the exact same time as you guys. We even left on the same day. CDG is massive and a maze! We got stuck on Pirates for 55 mins on the last day. When we got to the airport it was so quite fortunately. Can totally recommend the TVG high speed train direct from DLP to the airport. It takes 12 mins and is cheaper than Uber. We booked a couple of days in advance.

How much did the high speed train cost can you rememeber ?

@@TheLodgeGuys For the 2 of us it was about £40 or £50 total to get there and back for 2 people. From memory you have to buy each journey as a single. Which is much cheaper than Uber there and back and maybe even a transfer service like magic shuttle.

We flew in 2019 pre pandemic and Charles de galle airport is shocking! We said never flying again to Disney paris! The train gets you straight there and even with strikes it’s much better! So next time try the train and book the luggage package and they will deliver to your hotel! ( I’m guessing certain ones?) but you then go straight into the park! Next year it will be better but loved seeing you both in my happy place 🤩😘

Strike action in France has ruined two of our family Holidays . One was ATC and the other was fisherman. Never again! Which is a shame because we love France. Great series guys, looking forward to Vlogmas! 🎄

Oh no!! You need to do the Eurostar direct to Disney. I guess it is a bit of a treck for you up north though departing from London. Stay over the night before and have a London day😃 honestly so much easier just a couple hours on a train and you’re in Disney!

This vlog brought back so many memories for me, we once caused a walkout/strike by staff in Italy at a freeway stop by asking for milk to put in our tea after we had been rude enough to ask for hot tea ( lucky you getting milk for your tea even if the milk was hot and not in a jug). Same trip luggage handlers strike at Charles de Gaulle airport, finally got on Air France plane to have to deplane due to mechanical issues then someone had heart attack, which can’t be blamed on anyone, on take off. Got to Singapore, more mechanical issues. On/off plane twice more, most passengers were Australian and we refused to get back on the plane (our own strike). Air France ended up chartering a Qantas plane and crew to fly us to Sydney (4 days from Paris to Sydney). That was in 1976 and I’ve always arranged European flights since avoiding Charles de Gaulle and Air France. All part of the adventure 😂

It wasn’t a strike. The French purposely reduced their staff to make it hard for the UK folk to get through. (Relatives recently experienced this ‘delay’ but the one with an Irish EU passport walked straight through and had to wait ages for the rest.) Of course a ‘strike’ is a good excuse for Brexit payback.

It must have been a relief when you got back to the apartment...I think you did well Leigh with the rude French lady,I would have been more like Nick and at least you gave some people in the queue a good laugh! We had the same experience in 2019 when we were at DLP, except it was a transportation strike throughout the city and it canceled our day trip into Paris, so disappointing. I am beginning to believe that they dont want us to vacation there.

We vowed to never fly again. CDG is a maze with the most unhelpful staff I’ve ever experienced. People are so rude! Air France flight was good, but our cases got lost. Staff were useless at the airport and Disney didn’t help us at all. We’ve also done the EuroStar and while that was a million times better, that was delayed on the return by 1.5 hours because of a security issue involving sniffer dogs/luggage. I enjoy DLP, but I can’t stand the travel to and from… it’s just so stressful!!
