I'm staying here at the end of September for 3 nights & 4 days in the park. Paid £742 for 1 person which was cheaper than the lower grade hotels which surprised me. Hopefilly it's worth the money!

I would say yes but it is all a matter of preference I guess, it is certainly bigger and has a couple of extra features, plus the outside pool is VERY big.

Great detailed review, £1100 does seem rather expensive to me when you consider no breakfast included. Guess they believe you are paying for the overall ‘Disney’ experience which so many people go to enjoy

3 nights for 1100 with a 4 day park ticket for 2? If so, you got a deal. It's Disney.

Thank you for the honest review. I’m due to go as a family of 4 2 adults and 2 children October half term and after reading some of the reviews about the cleanliness of the rooms. I’m calling Disney to see if I can swap back to sequoia lodge if possible as we loved it there when we went. We’ve paid over double what you have and I’m so concerned we’re going to be getting a grotty room and service. I’m already freaking out about the Paris bed bug things I’ve seen and read about, which I’m hoping is more media scare/hype than truth. It’s not giving me that magical excitement running up to the trip like last time. I fear I maybe a bit too late in the day to make a change of hotel without adding a hefty price ontop of that.

we are due to stay in Hotel New York at the beginning of October and will be doing a video on that as well. We have stayed at both Sequoia Lodge & Newport this year and to be honest the difference between the 2 is minimal with regards to rooms and amenities available. Cleanliness was OK and having stayed twice this year, the Bed Bug thing does appear to be media hype, Disney seem to be very much on top of anything if it is there so I wouldn't worry too much there.

@@realreviewsofficial thank you for your reply, it has put my mind at ease. Maybe I’ll just go with it and get excited for the magic again. It’s mainly the cleanliness that’s been playing on me. Spending all that money and reading all those awful reviews. They were all dated July and August. I wonder if the cleaning staff are agency and were called off to the Olympics in the height of Disney season. It’s not an excuse, but do wonder if it’s a factor. The responses on trip advisor from Disney did continuously state they will bring it up with house keeping. Hopefully they use a usually low month (September) to clean up their act, excuse the punn. We went for it thinking let’s try something different this time, thinking oh big grand hotel and all that.

ultimately we can only ever speak to the experience we had and that was late may this year! Regardless we all hope you have a wonderful time at DLP and would love to hear your feedback after the fact! :)
