I have this book, but I never liked it, due to it being so very different from the film. Most certain sequences aren't used, none of the characters are named, and it is done too much like the old fairy tale. But at least Maleficent turning into a dragon was used. That's one thing that I appreciate them using here. Gotta have that great sequence in the book adaptations of this film.

I remember having this book as a child and I used to be so scared of maleficent I found it difficult to open certain pages of the book 😂 Im 20 now and the book as well as my other Disney books had been given away a long time ago but I was just curious too see the pages again now as an adult and it made me chuckle watching this vid. Thanks

So in this story, Aurora isn’t raised by the good fairies in a cottage in the woods.

Indeed, it has little to do with the Disney movie. I wonder how these differences take place: is it because the authors hadn’t seen the movie yet or because there were copyright restrictions 🤷🏻 No idea ! Thanks for watching... ☺️

@@DisneyVintage seems like they wanted to do the storyline from the Perreault story but with the disney characters from the film. Still my favorite movie and fairytale.
