Nice presentation of acronyms, towards the end. Question: who is truck driver suppose to call after 2-3 hours of detention, is it dispatch, or should he call receiver, broker?

After 2 hours driver has to contact broker or dispatcher to start detention and make sure in and out times are on Bol , so we can get detention approved and paid! In this case you will receive revised rate confirmation with added amount! 👍

Hello, so if the driver gets there before the appointment time does it count as part of the time he waited or they just count after the appointment time ?

It counts from appointment time and usually first 2-3 hours are free ( check rate confirmation for each load )

PRO DISPATCHER WILL ALWAYS CALL PERSONALLY SHIPPERS AND RECEIVERS AROUND HOLIDAYS ESPECIALLY TO VERIFY HOLIDAY HOURS...JUST MAKE IT A HABIT TO MAKE AN EXTRA 2 CALLS,DO NOT TRUST BROKERS!!! THEY DO NOT CARE AND LAYOVER OF 150$ IS NOT GONNA BE ENOUGH FOR FRUSTRATED AND UPSET DRIVER!!!DO THIS EVERY TIME BEFORE DRIVER GETS LOADED, IT WILL SAVE YOUR TIME, YOUR DRIVERS TIME... Great video. My question is why would a broker agree to your negotiation? Can’t they just get away with saying “no we will only pay you $150” ? Or maybe they’re concerned about their credit?

Well, if you have been working with broker on previous loads , if your driver is loosing day in transit or reload it should be compensated... yes , they can tell you $150, but that’s why you have to be a pro and negotiate!👍
