Displaced in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rebecca - Episode 2

A new retrospective mortality survey of IDP households in four of the camps around Goma in DRC conducted by Epicentre shows the daily frequency and alarming levels of violence, particularly sexual violence that continue to occur in and around the camps. More than one in ten young women reported having been raped during the period covered by the survey (November 2023 - April 2024).
Rebecca, 16, has been living with her mother, Esther and her sister in Elohim Camp, Goma, DRC, for a year and a half.
