I'd say playing Vermillion means you can play Bariodigneel and Ethan for attack extension combos Ethan self retires giving you CC and drawing 1, while Bario goes to soul giving another rear +5k Both clears up space for Phoenix to be called without overcalling Plus Bario converts into a soul for your SB effects

For anybody seeing this. Just play Ethan. he doesn't care about the attack being VG or RG. just that an attack from your vanguard hit in that turn. so now you have ways to clear your board and also call out more rising pheonix for power

​@@jacobjensen7704Gojo works, but it has to be involved in the attack that hits. With Ethan, you can target a front row rearguard to destroy while Vermillion attacks 3 other units, including the VG. You only have to hit once to proc Ethan who will then open a front row circle for a Phoenix call. If you can clear the whole board Deathscythe is live. Plus Ethan also draws a card.

Ethan and Bariodigneel Both runs away making room to call Phoenix and gives something back (Ethan CCs and draws, Bario refunds soul)

@@blackfiresprout My brother in christ, that’s what they’ve always looked like. Never once was Vermillion a “scary dragons” theme when it’s support was either cartoonish dragon riders, or random Deathscythe looking cards.

Thunderstorm Dragoon is real solid in premium too. Ride on top of him and get any card from the top 7. Rear guard effect isn't the worst either.

I don't think Enpix's gonna help much bc Vemillion choose circle and attack, so it bypasses resist.

I don't think Enpix is effective: Vermillion chooses the Rear Circles, not the units on them, so Enpix can't stop Vermillion multi target attack.

At first I thought the deck might be anti-matter bc it's hard counter for Eva. But after some time to think, I'm not sure if it's that good or not bc outside of Eva, there aren't many decks that get countered by bind RG. Even Nirvana has set order to hard counter Vermillion. While there's a potential for 8 waves of attack(but require too many SB and key cards for set up.), I think the offensive power is way too low for the current meta. It might be able to beat Eva, but it can be easily be stomped other meta decks.

Look at Ghandiva. Retire, bind, get free power, and draw. Vermillion does all of this too, though differently. We'll see how good it actually is with testing :D

​​@@jacobjensen7704 The problem with gandiva it is too relanet with what grade it checks to retire Vermillion is better against the meta Cause this can attack 2 RG and Vanguard combine with that order that can be used in hand or drop It just crazy bind attack plays as it specificallu state play from drop This means every turn vermillion can just attack use skill If you hot enough CB to use And then bind two RG on attack seems very good to me

For now, there aren't that many generic cards in Dragon Empire that interacts with Bind (keyword being "generic" so Shojodoji doesn't count) , so besides maxing all Narukami cards (including ones in the rideline) , I was thinking maybe teching 2-3 Desolate Spark Dragon, it complements Vermillion's persona turn wonderfully and binding opponent's rearguards may have some synergy with the deck. Sounds plausible on paper, I guess. Just like Gandiva made Meteor Flare Dragon expensive, let's see if Vermillion can break any generic DE support ^_^

There's a lot of cards in the DE card pool that can take the deck in many different ways whether you go for CB routes or SB routes. Vermillion's ping works with the card that goes to soul when discarded.

It won't change much. Vermilion can counter Eva, but as it stands that's all he can do in the meta. Eva can storm every other deck.

Oh man, the 60th+ reason for Overdress attachments to be errata’d to go to the drop zone after something happens to the Dressed unit. We shouldn’t have to run a clunky order card to have any sort of chance against these decks, then just auto-lose if we don’t draw it.💀

The fact that they release that set order makes me think that they won't errata the whole dress mechanic. It's like using a small scotch tape to close a big wound.

The order isn't clunky at all since you either discard it for the ride line or for Jheva or play it, and all of those let you cycle it.

Hard to say some older VR did become playable because a newer card used the older VR in a way like Phantom Blaster Overlord or melketh Malek but we have no new V product anytime soon so hard to say

The cards are future-proofed to include grade 3+ units so I would say yes. Not in this set, but a future one. Hopefully with Dusty Plasma Dragoon, Crownholder Dragon & Kaiser Crimson
