0:35 This could be depended on mulitple factors. for starts, Minecraft taking up the entire CPU during boot. if your main harddrive is a HDD and not a SSD then the reading process could be laggin you out. Also, so much easier to set up modded Minecraft with the prism launcher, love that thing!

When minecraft starts, the game still begin to build cache so your game runs smoother, better and faster while playing and this process uses a lot of CPU. It will probably or most likely max out your CPU usage

To help with the lagg, you can use a mod called fps reducer. It reduces your frames when you are not using minecraft

if you are talking about the lag when you launch the game try theses things : run minecraft as administrator, compatibily for minecraft in properties: windows 8,if the game opens directly in fullscreen then disable the option in properties of optimazition in fullscreen ,in setting windows there is game mode and setting put the launcher of the game that you find in appdata as maximum usage of performance and then open cmd as administrator and write Chkdsk and restart the pc !

Using these as my base and adjusting to fit my tastes! I personally find your white brightness too high in snowy biomes and deserts and beaches so have turned that down for myself. Great vid. Keep it up!

I will add in a few tidbits. Complementary Sharders are now 2 Different shaders. They have Unbound, Unbound is a completely new look for minecraft, it is not in anyway meant to look like vanilla Minecraft. Then they also have Reimagined which, as the name suggest, Is vanilla inspired,so it will look more akin to the default minecraf experience but.. better So try any of these 2 they are actively worked on! Also, if you want to try more advanced lighting and shadows in your world without using Raytracing, you have Voxel Shader. I cant remember if this on is paid or not, but they do some snazzy stuff with their lighting engine as it is based on Voxel Lighting techniques.

0:35 short answer Java. Long answer, having a really fast SSD makes the problem less prone. Switching to a different launcher will solve it and the mods Ferrite and FPS reducer can get it fix. Ferrite loads a bunch of stuff at once which is much much easier on the CPU and well FPS reducer well does not produce frames no one needs.

The reason your pc lags when you launch minecraft is most likely due to you playing it in fullscreen as when you do it takes much longer to full screen itself

Thats because you use mods meant for Minecraft version 1.19.3. So you need to update your mods for 1.20.4. I'm also going to be "That" guy but... what you needed to do is litterally spelled out for you. Right in this line here: Replace 'Minecraft' (minecraft) 1.20.4 with version 1.19.3. More details: Mod 'Litematica' (litematica) 0.13.1 requires version 1.19.3 of 'Minecraft' (minecraft), but only the wrong version ispresent: 1.20.4! I feel like this is part of the reason Error Messages have gotten worse over the years because they figure nobody reads them anyhow :(

There's a setting called entity shadows, just turn that on. I noticed this myself however forgot to add it to the video.
