I'd like to explain this song to those that are interested. Black *Dragon* - Although almost all of us know dragons from fantasy settings like Lord of The Rings, Game of Thrones it's original meaning was a giant serpent, typically the gods of *chaos* . Almost all of the early civilizations recognized serpents (a.k.a dragons) as a symbol of chaos. This idea is especially prevalent in the Hebrew Bible where the serpent tricks Adam and Eve into eating the sacred fruit. Later Abrahamic religions recognize this serpent as the devil but Judaism still retains it's stance. Makes sence since Judaism is a Canaanite religion and serpent was a recurring figure in the early Canaanite religions. *Tohu Tehom Teli Than Leviathan Tanin'iver Taninsam!* - I asked this to my Israeli friend as this sentence is Hebrew. Tohu Tehom means chaos and abyss. Leviathan (means whale in modern Hebrew but again, it's a sea serpent demon in biblical lore) T̶e̶l̶i̶ T̶h̶a̶n̶ T̶a̶n̶i̶n̶'i̶v̶e̶r̶ T̶a̶n̶i̶n̶s̶a̶m̶ a̶r̶e̶ n̶o̶t̶ H̶e̶b̶r̶e̶w̶. I learned that they are indeed Hebrew. Tanin'iver is the blind dragon in the Kabbalah writings. It is said that if he were to open his eyes, the whole world would be destroyed. He is the steed of Lilith. Teli means a crocodile. Taninsam is another name for the poisinous crocodile. *Dragon of forgotten lore - let your Chaos rule forever more* - The word chaos is used in almost all of Reinkaos' songs but what is it? So, Chaos-Gnosticism, (Jon's religion) holds the idea that the cosmos, along with the earth was created by a tyrant demiurge and we are bound by the cosmic shackles. Since the universe/cosmos exist on a set of rules that can't be changed, we are basically trapped in it. However, Chaos, the primordial nothingness, is the ultimate freedom that are not bound by laws, set of rules and matter. Chaos is everything, and nothing at the same time. Gnosticism goes as far as 100 AD where the early Christians (Jews) believed Jesus was the path to be saved from the cosmic shackles and the tyranny of the demiurge. Most of the Gnostic texts were destroyed by Christians as it was deemed to be blasphemous. *Lotan - Raise your seven heads and let the ancient ones rule again* - Lotan, once again, another serpent that has 7 heads, is the servant of the Sea God Yam in the ancient Canaanite religion. He was defeated by the storm god Hadad-Ba'al. The idea of storm gods defeating chaos-serpent gods were prevalent in the early Canaanite religion. More examples can be found such as Yahweh (another storm god) defeating Leviathan, Marduk defeating Tiamat etc... *Apep - Dragon of devouring darkness, supreme ruler of emptiness* - A̶t̶ t̶h̶i̶s̶ p̶o̶i̶n̶t̶ I̶ a̶m̶ g̶o̶i̶n̶g̶ t̶o̶ w̶r̶i̶t̶e̶ t̶h̶e̶ d̶e̶i̶t̶i̶e̶s̶ t̶h̶a̶t̶ a̶r̶e̶ n̶o̶t̶ s̶e̶r̶p̶e̶n̶t̶ c̶h̶a̶o̶s̶ g̶o̶d̶s̶ b̶e̶c̶a̶u̶s̶e̶ a̶l̶m̶o̶s̶t̶ a̶l̶l̶ o̶f̶ t̶h̶e̶m̶ a̶r̶e̶. T̶h̶a̶t̶'s̶ w̶h̶y̶ t̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ i̶s̶ "r̶e̶j̶o̶i̶c̶e̶ a̶s̶ R̶a̶'s̶ c̶r̶e̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ d̶i̶e̶s̶" j̶u̶s̶t̶ a̶f̶t̶e̶r̶ t̶h̶i̶s̶ v̶e̶r̶s̶e̶. Alright, Apep is an Egyptian deity that was feared back in the ancient times as it was a chaos, destruction god. He is the opposite of Maat/Ra, order against disorder. Chaos against cosmos. His title was the "Lord of Chaos". AKA Apophis. *Jormungand - Lord of the poisonous sea, fulfill the twilight prophecy* - Norse religion, another serpent. Jormungand (Jörmungandr) is the Norse equivalent of Leviathan. He is a sea serpent/dragon, child of Loki. Described as an enormous creature, so large that it was able to surround the earth and grasp its own tail (an example of an Ouroboros). The „twilight prophecy“ is Ragnarök, which means „Twilight of the Gods“ (and other things, but that is outside the scope of this article). In Ragnarök, Jörmungandr is predicted to poison Thor, which would eventually cause Thor’s death. Note that the events of Ragnarök take place immediately after a great winter (Fimbulvetr or Fimbulvinter) - which is coherent with the lyrics of Starless Aeon. Note: TOTBL accepts all of these deities as "canon", as in they were the same gods just worshipped by different names by different peoples. From Liber Azerate: "An "aeon" is, in the esoteric teaching of the term, a spiritual force / energy that for a period of at least two thousand years permeates, changes and controls the causal plane. After seven aeons, the original chaos restores all forms of existence to the formlessness that once was." An aeon is a dynamic entity which has it's own seasons. In winter, it's the strongest and causes destruction. The destruction of the world after 7 aeons is to be when it's winter. Think about it, in Norse religion Ragnarök, (doomsday) is in winter and the foretold prophecy about the 7th aeon is in winter. Makes sense, huh? *Tiamat - Queen of the formless deep - The Eleventh seal is now broken* - Tiamat and Lilith are the dragon goddesses worshipped by the Temple of The Black Light (formerly known as Misanthropic Luciferian Order). Jon was a part of this organization back when he was still alive. TOTBL's aim is to invoke the old gods using magic and rituals to ensure the resurrection of Tiamat and destruction of the world. There are a few more things but I kinda got overwhelmed writing all this stuff so if you want more detailed explanation y̶o̶u̶ c̶a̶n̶ r̶e̶a̶d̶ L̶i̶b̶e̶r̶ A̶z̶e̶r̶a̶t̶e̶. Liber Azerate is outdated and not used by the Temple anymore. Instead, you can read "the Book of Sitra Achra" which is the new canon book used by the temple. I asked Dissection's bassist, Brice Leclercq, if he knew Vlad (Jon's partner in crime, aka Shahin-Khoshnood Sharis, aka Frater Nemidial, aka NAA-218, aka Vlad Draconi, aka Nemesis-Khoshnood Sharis) and he said most of the lyrics on this album was written by himself along with Jon.

As a Turkish phd law student who studied bronze age middleast due to an anthropolgy related course, I was instantly hooked with what you wrote. I already Judaism is a derivation of the ancient polytheist Israeli religion so what you wrote made a lot of sense to me. I can maybe read more about this stuff later when I am not obliged to read ıther stuff. Edit: I remembered one thing. I don’t know about serpent gods but stroms gods were a prevalant thing in other brınze again mesopotamian civilizations. Especially in Hitit Tablets you can see inscriptiond saying that before war both Hittites and Assyrians pray to their respective storm gods of their pantheons for success in war. Moreoever, Hittites especially see a dispute with a king as an earthly representation of a between their storm gods. So a Hittite ruled is wronged by an Assyrian king means the Assyrian storm god wronged the Hittite storm god. And the winner of tge war wins the godly legal dispute. Anıther common figure are the sun gods. Alongside the storm gods, those mesopotamian people “mention” the sun gıds the most. Zeus being a storm god and Ra being a sun gods makes perfect sense from my pov.
