Physics has been explained very accurately in your videos. As a science teacher often find it hard to explain concepts explained accurately that align with our Alberta Textbooks. Thank you

@ThePhysicsClassroom 9:43 I did the same problem (with a diagram), but is it okay to also say, instead of a displacement of 2 meters west, can you say -2 meters east? Or are you not allowed to right a negative displacement in your answer? Other than that, this video was very helpful! Thank you!
@PhysicsclassroomVideos4 жыл бұрын
1) Your teacher is the best person to tell you that that is a self tabell or not.. 2) But I would encourage you to always be mindful of what positive and negative mean in physics. Usually it means a direction ... like East or West or up or down or left or right. Adjectives like East or West or left or right are much more informative descriptions of direction than symbols like positive or negative.

This was great, I got the distance and displacement right but I was lost with the direction. Was it WEST because the answer was negative and the direction that was negative was WEST?

Hey boss got a doubt? Do you think this would be helpfulf for Grade 10 international baccalaureate (IB)? BTW great video!
@PhysicsclassroomVideos4 ай бұрын
If that's your topic, it will be helpful. It is at the Grade 10 level ( +/- 2)

@@PhysicsclassroomVideos Thanks for the reply also I know that you are busy but I just wanted to ask you a doubt. Well I have like 15 days left before my big exam. Im in 10th grade and I would like to know the 2 things before I share you my syllabus. 1. Does your website cover all of these for 10th grade ib 2. Do you think I should just read the info given on the website regarding the topics rather then watching the youtube video since I have 15 days left Forces & Motion Vectors & Scalars - distance, displacement, speed, velocity and accel distance vs time graphs - speed vs time graphs - Newton's laws of 1 Force and types of forces - equilibrium of forces - free fall - terminal v momentum - impulse - conservation of momentum Forces & Energy Definition of work - types of energies - transformation of e conservation of energy - Gravitational potential energy - Kinetic F Elastic Potential Energy - Power - Efficiency - Sankey Diagrams - Re and non-renewable energy Thermal Energy States of matter - heat and temperature - Brownian motion - M temperature - Types of thermometers - Liquid in glass thermometer - expansion (solids, liquids and gases) - transmission of heat (con convection and radiation) - conductors and radiators - Kinetic theory - internal energy - Gas laws - specific heat capacity - latent heat - boi evaporation Electricity Static Electricity - properties of charges - Coulomb's law - met charging - Earthing - Electric fields Current Electricity - current, voltage, Potential difference and emf de - symbols for electric components - Ohm's law - Resistance also thank you so much for responding to my previous question I knkow that you are so busy!

@gaurava4883 we have about 95% of the topics in our Tutorial section. Be sure to "do something" with your learning. Minds On Physics, Concept Builders, and Calculator Pad are great for that.
