Interstellar is a great movie. It was the first instance of this effect being used. It is still basically an artists impression of what a black hole ‘might’ look like. It has been used many times since, such as in this example. It is prudent to note that if a black hole was actually that visible in the night sky, the earth would have already been crushed.

If I remember correctly, the way the effect was created is through information we have of black holes and a formula to calculate how a black hole would actually theoretically look like. Well it turns out now that this is what a black hole looks like when it bends light and whatnot.

Hey....not to be a buzzkill but if you have even slight knowledge of astral objects you'd know, we wouldn't be able to witness this event. Within minutes "probably seconds" life would no longer exist on earth, unless it was deep underground, and maybe not even that. No human life would remain for enough time for anything to be looked at. So you can't really imagine seeing it happen, unless you imagine it in a way that doesn't actually happen 🤣

Since the farthest humans have ever drilled down is only 4 miles, we cannot go “deep underground.” Theoretical outcome 2. The nearest star would not have an event horizon that large for us to see. That blackhole looks like it is closer to Earth than the moon is. If it really is a close neighbor star, the blackhole would have been formed from an extremely large star. That flash that that finally reached the Earth after so many years would also be travelling with gamma radiation which means everything is already cooked on Earth the moment the flash occur. We would not even get to see the blackhole. If it were a Magnetar racing through the solar system and for some weird reason it randomly collapsed intro a blackhole, then that would be something.

A black hole is smaller than the star that it formed from, by orders of magnitude smaller An accretion disc would take a very long time to form the star would lose mass in the process as the super nova would shed everything but its core A supernova that close would cook us There are no stars in our neighborhood (or pretty far beyond) that are even the right class to go supernova let alone a black hole forming super nova If a star collapses into a black hole, its mass shrinks, which makes it have LESS gravitational influence , not more. Black holes dont have higher gravity than other objects, they are more compact, meaning you can get closer to them, THATS where the effects start being noticable. im fact, if the sun was replaced by a black hole with the same mass, the solar systen would work perfectly normal except the sun is now smaller than a city. and lastly: "🤓"

Did you guys ever wonder how a black hole forms? I got the info, when a big star apparently bigger than our sun reaches the end of its life, it explodes and the explosion is called a ‘supernova’ ever heard of that? Maybe or maybe not! But after it explodes it turns into a huge black hole, Inside the black hole is gravity!, a strong gravity even stronger than our sun has, but if you somehow tried to jump on a black hole, you wouldn’t make it because the black hole holds ‘to much’ gravity not even light can escape, This is how a black hole is formed!🪐 and as you can see in the video the black hole sucks all the planets around it!
