Making art is art. Selling art is business. If people want to be rich they need to love what they obviously hate

People have an opinion and don’t like dude but living in Philly, idc about any of that. He’s an incredible artist with his own opinions and an incredible talent. If you feel so strongly, go paint something better

Great interview, i think "new" wealth chooses examples of art/major media etc that dont challenge their power. New wealth will often play both sides or change sides in a conflict for profit. Their are examples in the past of wealth paying for images that highlight their exploits, the opposite of how todays rich choose the purposefully empty, self defined, and cynicall art to dress their palaces.

He reminds me of someone that would put a black mask on, at his age, to yell at a political candidate he didn’t like as they arrived at their own home. Just one of those annoying types. Paint all the pieces ya want, Distort. You’re a great artist. Such an annoying person, however.

Ah, the unmistakable stench of ignorance-truly remarkable and pungent. It’s painfully clear you have no understanding of the gallery, graffiti, or mural scenes. This artist, who you seem to know nothing about, is one of the most humble and genuine individuals you’ll ever encounter, whether in a lecture or casual conversation. For someone actively scaling buildings to get up, while also hosting solo exhibitions and collaborating with high-profile collectors, he remains far more approachable and honest than most artists could ever hope to be.

Attend any exhibition opening or artist lecture, and you might want to rethink your comment. He’s a clearly informed and accomplished artist, far from the amateur 16-year-old tagger you seem to be familiar with. If he’s losing you, perhaps the issue is your inability to keep up.
