Elephants use the Nose for a lot of things other than smelling. So you could very much see the logic of a giant nose, could be being mostly used for the other things and not be mainly for sniffing now

Sharks actually have an incredible sense of smell, Bob needs to check his animal facts, and I could be wrong but I believe bears have the best sense of smell

No, it's elephants, they have it by far. Sharks have good sense of smell too, but relatively speaking they aren't the top best

Sharks can smell blood from hundreds of meters away-in concentrations as low as one part per million (ppm). one cent in 10,000 dollars. Elephants have a keen sense of smell, detecting water sources up to 19.2 km (12 mi.) away. Nostrils are located at the tip of the trunk and function in breathing, smelling, and drawing water in to squirt into the mouth. I'm not sure which would then be considered better :/

I hate to be that guy but technically sharks don't smell anything because, again, technically, scents don't really pass through water. What they're most likely doing it sensing the differences in the water based on what's in a fishes blood, in other words they are picking up traces of chemical and metal concentrations in the water with the organ in their noses. Not TECHNICALLY smelling but also... not.. NOT smelling either.

Hey Walter! I rarely comment but I just want to say your Distractible animated videos are always super entertaining, and I love the small little details you put in each of them. I don't know if you take suggestions, but I've recently been obsessed with Cr1tk4l's videos on Vuadville, which is a detective game in which the player must talk to AI characters to solve some murders. Cr1tik4l's time playing and subsequent videos on the game I believe are absolutely hilarious and I would love to see it animated in your style. I'm not demanding you make it, nor need to make it at all, but I think several parts of Cr1tik4l's playthrough be your bread and butter. Regardless, keep up the amazing work!
