Stunning results. This hydrangea stamp/die set is a favorite. Thank you for introducing it with such a beautiful technique. Looks like blue fingers are in my future!! We live on acid soil, so our hydrangeas are a beautiful blue color, perfect to replicate with this card idea. Thank you, as always, Jennifer. Oh, forgot to mention that I really appreciate the stem extension idea :)

I loved seeing this technique so much I started to gather up the inks and spritzer and then looked for the perfect stamp (and I have hundreds!). I could not find one with the open petals that make Jennifer's design so beautiful. Now I'm bummed because I need to buy a new stamp. LOL

how do you always get soo much distress ink onto your paper? almost all of the tim holtz distress ink pads I bought won't even get NE a stamped image, let alone enough ink to cover the whole paper like that. I love this idea though, I'm still going to try it! TFS
@jennifermcguireink8 жыл бұрын
+cristina jones gotta PUSH to get the color out that much. but it can be done! builds muscles :)
@BlaizC8 жыл бұрын
+cristina jones I always buy the reinker when I buy a distress stamp pad. If your pad is juicy, it's not hard to do this technique.
@lettienugent8 жыл бұрын
i'm new to card making, in the watercolor and distress inks world. I worry that if I use distress inks on a card and the recipient handles them with moist hands, or the card ends up moist in some way, that the distress inks will come off the card and onto the recipient. Or that if I use distress inks to stamp a coordinating image on the envelope, that it will ruin with rain. Have you ever had anyone comment about problems with the distress ink on the finished product?
@jennifermcguireink8 жыл бұрын
+LettieNugent.com no. once super dry it is ok.
@lettienugent8 жыл бұрын

+Elizabeth Hansen I loved the way the flower looked after Jennifer did it, but I too am a bit like you and panic at the thought of using that much ink. I am such a baby about using my stuff, you know the story, if I use it all now, than I won't have it when I want it..... I just need let go and have some fun. Maybe we can try this together Elizabeth. LOL
@lizzystitch48428 жыл бұрын
Oh, I am so like you! haha! I get in a bunch of supplies and then am afraid to use them! We both need to jump in and go for it! I guess I have to remind myself that Ranger makes Distress Inks every day of the year, so I can always get more! AND I can buy reinkers! Let's do it!
@lizzystitch48428 жыл бұрын
+Jennifer McGuire Ink I guess in the back of my mind, I hear my elementary school art teacher, Miss Whitaker (God rest her soul), constantly reminding us students NOT to use markers on construction paper because the paper would just suck the ink into the paper and dry out the markers! Guess it's time to do away with that tape running in my brain and have some fun!!
@CraftynotShiftyblog8 жыл бұрын
The distress inks are great they have so much pigment inside and if they start to get thirsty you can use the distress refresh spray as normally the pads still have pigment but just need some juice 😊
