Thank you so much for this! I’m new to crafting cards and had no idea about the distress oxide when I purchased all the colors of distress inks. Now that I see the difference, I need to save my money so I can get the oxides some day. You’ve helped so much for me to figure out the difference.

Hello, tfs your storage solutions and the differences between them inks and oxides on the different papers. One question regarding storage of the oxides - another KZbinr “Jess Crafts” asked Ranger specifically about the Oxides and their reply was that these should be stored flat as the pigment and dye may separate whereas the Distress Inks can be stored on their side as well as flat. I know you are a fan of Oxides and I have quite a few and would love to store them vertically (for space) but am worried that the Oxides will separate or leak. Have you noticed any separation or leakage storing them upright? Thank you so much for your reply. Valérie, new subie from the U.K.

Hi Valerie! I always store mine on their sides and I never had any problems. In this video, Tim Holtz himself says that the Oxides can be stored both on their side as well as flat. kzbin.info/www/bejne/boDOg4Z7nt6YZqs Have a great day! :) Laura

@@Cloud9Crafts Hello Laura, thank you sooo much for your reply. It’s always tricky finding the right solution for the amount of items you have especially when you buy additional ‘new’ items too 😉. Much appreciated, have a wonderful day, Valérie x

Does the oxide ink dry down on the paper or is it always kind of sticky?

Hi Alisa! The oxides dry silky smooth ! :) However, we do recommend using an anti-static powder tool before heat embossing.
