This was great. So much info. Loved seeing the differences but what really intrigued me was you used decorative paper as the base instead of just plain paper. I’ve not seen anyone do that and it really gives you a different perspective. It also has me thinking about all those papers I don’t like the design and how I could change them up into something bright and new. Love how you share and inspire. Patti

I agree. Especially the white gesso. You barely see the pattern paper underneath.

excellent demo thanks so much for that - I think the white gesso looks amazing too and yep a great way to use up old papers too.

This is very helpful. The sprays are expensive enough, that a person wants to put their best foot forward with them. Not all media work better over gesso, but these really do look smoother on the sides where you laid a gesso foundation. TFS!

It was interesting to see the difference between the gesso and non gesso sides and even the difference between the two gessos. Thank you for sharing your video.

The gesso side brings out the color better. & leaves it sitting on the surface instead of soaking in like the non gesso side does.

Thankyou for posting this video and a massive thankyou for not babbling on and on. The way you present is fantastic. It’s funny, in some cases these oxides are eally like chalk and cheese.. I can’t help but wonder what would happen, if you were to paint back over the oxide sprays with more white gesso to create (I can’t remember the name of the term.. is it ‘negative space’?). Would the gesso paint over the oxide? Or would the oxide blend with the white to create a pastel looking coloured background? I am definitely going to enjoy looking through your videos.
@AmberKCreative5 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. I think they would mix with the gesso and make a pastel color but I could be wrong! ♥

I love watching your videos. Thanks for sharing. Two questions please. How do you get the ink off of your hands and, where are you spraying those products? Does residue end up on the floor? I ask because I'm wondering if I can safety do this in my house or if I should do it in the garage?
@AmberKCreative4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! This ink isn't permanent so it washes off easily. If you're worried about overspray you can put your project in a box before you spray it to contain the mess. 😊

Clear Gesso, White Gesso, No gesso, I loved them all.I like how each page has a totally different look.If I had to choose which I liked best, I do not think I could! Thanks for taking the time to make the video. I am fairly new to mixed media, so much to learn, so little time. Videos like your really helps.

Not a fan of videos that no talking is it but that being said thank you for the video Think the white gesso just covered the design on the paper so you would see the ox colors better, no? I hope this response didn’t sound like a criticism wasn’t intended that way I know a lot of work goes into these videos and if you have to do a voice over must take so much time
