Thank you, no I didn’t extend them. The hair is naturally long and gets longer when you wrap the base as it kinda stretches it out!

I'm sure you can use whatever locs you want. Its really a preference.

Yes you can, it literally just depends on the look you are going for. In terms of time, I am actually quite slow at doing my own hair. So it took around 5 hours or so with me taking breaks. If you are faster you can do it in 4. I want to try it again with another method which I believe is quicker and see how long it takes this time round.

Hi when you wrapped the water wave hair around the loc. Did you wrap kind of loose in order to get the distress look?

Lindsey Jackson I wrapped tightly in the beginning to secure the loc (2 to 3 times at the roots). Then I wrapped abit tightly and then abit loosely and then tightly again. Literally a mix. Don’t wrap completely loosely otherwise the hair could potentially slip. You can do a mix of both and if you wrap back up it is fully secure ( but you don’t have to wrap it back up if). I want try explain this more in another tutorial.

How many locs did you use for this look ?

I used about 85 in total. There are a 30pcs per of locs per pack. So around 3 packs of locs needed. I also wrapped it with water wave textured hair. There are 25 strands in that pack and I split each strand into 3. So that was enough for 75 locs so I just used a few extra strands for that.

camriel wharton unfortunately not as it is synthetic hair. But it is available in other colours on our website joriehair.com/product/long-crochet-faux-locs-kinky/ or you can use an hair alternative just in a different colour 😊. You would only be able to dye it if it were human hair locs.
