“Upang lalong mapakinabangan ang nag-uumapaw na ganda at sagana ng inyong lugar, kailangan natin itong pagyamanin at alagaan… Kaya ang pagbisita namin ngayon ay hindi lamang pagsasakatuparan ng ating Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), ito rin ay aming pagkilala sa inyong kahalagahan at angking potensyal,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. conveyed as he led the distribution of land titles and support services to farmers of Region X (Northern Mindanao) at the Mindanao Civic Center Gymnasium in Tubod, Lanao del Norte.
As part of the Administration's unwavering commitment to boost the agricultural sector by ensuring land security in rural areas, the President distributed a total of 2,566 land titles covering around 3,000 hectares to 2,857 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) from the Provinces of Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental and Misamis Oriental. He also turned over farm machineries and equipment (FME) worth PhP2.6 million to seven (7) Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs), benefiting a total of 200 ARBs from Lanao del Norte.
“Maliban sa paghahandog ng inyong mga titulo, layon din naming makita nang personal ang kalagayan ng inyong mga komunidad upang lubos naming maunawaan ang inyong mga pangangailangan at magawan agad ito ng paraan; at bigyan agad ito ng solusyon,” he stated.
Likewise, the Chief Executive reaffirmed that the national government remains committed to constructing and building infrastructure projects such as farm-to-market roads (FMR), irrigation systems and potable water systems in the Region, noting that 21 projects are already underway in the Provinces of Bukidnon and Camiguin. He cited that the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has proposed 440 additional accessible projects worth PhP27.62 billion to ensure the sustainable livelihoods of local farmers.
“Mga kababayan, ilan lamang po iyan sa mga ginagawa nating hakbang upang matiyak na mayroong sapat na pagkain ang sambayanang Pilipino… Hindi kami titigil sa paglikha, pagpapatibay at pagpapatupad ng mga polisiyang magpapagaan ng inyong pamumuhay at magpapayabong sa buong sektor ng agrikultura,” President Marcos Jr. reiterated.
He urged all beneficiaries to utilize the given land titles and other forms of government assistance properly, serving as an inspiration and foundation for the Administration's efforts to lead the country towards a 'Bagong Pilipinas.'
Furthermore, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) provided cash assistance worth PhP10,000 each to around 1,760 ARBs from Region X under its Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP).
As part of Lanao del Norte’s 65th anniversary celebration dubbed ‘Araw ng Lanao’, a total of 6,745 beneficiaries from the Province received AKAP cash aid worth PhP10,000 each.
