Honestly, the university or technikons or colleges as previously known could have been anywhere else back then. It's always heartbreaking whenever anyone mentions District 6, nobody deserves that kind of treatment. Nobody

This was so hurtfully beautiful. As a son of a father that lived in the draai dock and mother that lived in Rose street (Ros straat), grandson of Noor Chat and Imam Yusuf of Elismere street Mosque. I do my best to educate my daughter on where the blood that runs in her veins originates from. Keep up the good work. 👍

My Mom and her whole family lived in Tenant Street in those days. I'm still heartbroken as I was born in the Bo-Kaap, in Leeuwen Street.

Great work Syddique. I have watched many clips on D6 and this is definitely one of the very best. Leaves one with a taste of bitter sweet nostalgia.

CPUT is not far from where I grew up in De korte Street 13, no known as de Korte Walk. WHAT A SHAME. And to be honest I HATE those who broke my progress for their GREED
