my son took his life last year and this was his favorite band. this song has allot of meanin makes me cry at the same time makes me g like so many of his songs do... love them. I'm 56 years old and would listen to them with him all the time around the house, in the car, he would have them cranked up while taking a shower on his phone. This song reminds me of my best friend in the world. My uncle, battled heavily with ptsd, schizo, mpd, and unchecked diabetes. He was always laughing. All the time, lost in his own head. He died in my arms, severely unexpected and violently. I still can't get the sights and sounds out of my mind. I never told him how much I loved him, and when I got that chance. He was blue on the ground. Save our last goodbye reminds me not to ever waste one second not telling somebody how grateful or how much you love them. We all have time, but it isn't guaranteed.

This song speaks to me in a way it never did when it first came out: I lost my Shetland Sheepdog, Duncan, to him having aged to 14 going on 15. Very old for a dog, but he was legend in numerous ways. If I was to list every thing right with Duncan this comment would be thousands of words long. So I will say this: In life he was the best dog you could ever have encountered, and therefore he is immortalized in my memories.

Well i never thought i be typing my thoughts here. i lost a family member who was a cousion to my mom. Almost a year ago this happened. For 5 hours stright i tried to fight back the urge to cry. sadly i broke and cried harder than i mostly do. The thursday after being told she died. i thought i saw her crying out i tried to run into traffic to join her. My friends stopped me from running. I'm 22 now and still trying to cope with the pain. her death cut through me and i was never the same. Don't think i will be no more.

This song has a huge emotional meaning for me. A few months after I first listened to the song when the album came out, I found out that my uncle had passed away in the exact same way depicted in the song. Even after so long I still nearly have an emotional breakdown every time I listen to this song. If anything can be taken from this song, it's to keep in contact with all loved ones regularly, because you never know when you could be the one to pick up the phone to find out that they're gone forever........ Bro, did you ever stop to think that maybe JUST Maybe that's ALL that they can do ??? FFS also just because you don't think prayers don't do anything doesn't mean they don't .... I have had my fair share of experiences them and I personally know that they do work and god is real and is reaching his hand out if we only go to him in faith .... Not to say he isn't reaching out to everyone and helping them through stuff in there lives religious or not ... All I'm saying is you go to him and ask for his help he will ... Let me put it another way it's like say you have a best friend and you need help well if you don't tell him he may know as much as he can and do what he can but if you go to him personally of course he will help you in any way he can and he will know the full problem / story or whatever it is because you went to him & You told him it's the same way with god.

A friend showed me this song last night and told me the reason as to why and who the song was created for. I could not breath, and I just had tears streaming down my face. My dad/mentor passed due to esophageal cancer in October. We went through months of vomit and hospital visits. So hearing this song and how my friend planed to preform to it made me cry even harder!
