What's the point of winning a civil lawsuit for millions and you can't collect a dime? He just refused to pay and the court couldn't make him.
@brotherap
@brotherap Ай бұрын
First of all, not withstanding how inappropriate of having a civil trial implying Simpson was liable for victims killed with knives after being acquitted in a criminal trial of the same homicidal events, the damage award statute was inappropriately applied solely for Simpson. In California a punitive damage award could only be ten percent of the net value of the income made by the defendant For Simpson to be obligated by the court to pay $25 million in punitive damages implied that his net worth was $250 million. Based on signing jerseys and footballs he still wasn't going to be worth that much.

@brotherap
@brotherap Ай бұрын
@@KeeshanCook-qm8mj What kind of rehab do you propose for someone out there getting money? Ron was accused by residents adjacent to the tennis courts at ???? park where he was an instructor that he was selling drugs in its parking lot. As a result we (OMIG) checked our sources at the LA Superior court clerks office and asked did he have a criminal record. They said yes, but they keep his file out in Malibu. Our investigator drove out to the Malibu Municipal Court and gave them RLGs Case file number 91C00362 the People V. RLG and as the clerk was bringing it, looked inside, and it was stamped confidential. It took us another 3 months and returning out there to be told by the actual clerk herself that we could not examine his six inch file because it was protected by 6254. She handed the OMIG investigator the paper and he and another went next door to the courthouse library and asked the librarian to bring them the statute book regarding the law, CAL Govt Code Sec 6254(f). It said, ...Anytime you are cooperating with Law Enforcement within the State of CA, your criminal record is then protected from public examination and exempt from the CAL Public Records Act their Freedom of Information law. Hence, If you are snitching your background is protected and we found after returning to headquarter, similar laws that exist in virtually every state, some with extreme penalties for divulging information within someone's protected criminal file. i.e. 15 years imprisonment in MN and I believe New Hampshire. Nicole appeared to be dabbling in the drug game too along with Ron and Faye Resnick. Besides acting as spotters while sunning at the tennis courts, according to Kato Kaelin's book when first invited to her condo in 1993, she was giving a pre-marital party for her past boy friend Keith Zlomsowich to one of the Hollywood Heidi Fleiss call girls. . Kato saw all of the people going up and down Nicole Simpson's stairs to the second floor and asked why's everyone going upstairs to the second floor? The person looked at him and told a surprised Kato, that's where the drugs are.

One thing that was always curious about this case was, even tho Ron was smaller than OJ (5'9" 171lbs vs 6'1" 220 or so), it was always reported that he fought hard. But OJ didn't have any marks that would suggest a life or death struggle, much less a fistfight. And even tho OJ was a former football player, if you look at NFL players who played 10yrs, who are 47 (OJs age at the time of the murders) in 2024, a lot of them, specifically running backs, have a ton of physical issues, and that's with improvements to training, medicine & rehabilitation, in addition to the type of hits & degree of physicality has diminished, from when OJ played. So for a guy who's career ended in 79, to be able to kill 2 people with a knife, one of which fought for their life & not have any injuries, is at the absolute bare minimum, remarkable.

To answer your question about the payout discrepancy: OJ himself never personally paid a single, solitary cent. However, years after the trial, he had the audacity, the nerve.... to write and publish a book called "If I Did It" which was based on the idea of him being completely innocent, but HOW he would do it..... the Goldman family, rightfully infuriated by this, immediately filed an injunction blocking OJ from making any money off the book, and all profit going to them and to Nicole's family. I'm betting thats where the $500k figure comes from.

My second cousins wrote a book about Glen Rogers called the Cross Country Killer. There is photo evidence showing him with O.J in her book. My cousin who also did private detective work at one point in her life, said that she believes O.J was a coward and could not have done it himself. She believes he most likely got him to do it for him.

@naithngr81-jh2bb Ай бұрын
@@susanconner6586 yes, his name was Brett Cantor and he owned a nightclub called the dragonfly and Ron Goldman not only worked for him, but they were seen quite often together. Nicole actually frequented the business, where she most likely met Ron for the first time there. I really think the murders of Ron and Nicole are connected to the murder of Brett because seriously, there are not too many stabbing murders where the killers slash the victims throat, then actually pull the victims tongue through the slits made in their throat. If a killer does that, then they are trying to send some message. That has to be a hit. Even if you believe that OJ did it, or even his son Jason, that's a very, very strange coincidence for Brett to have not only been killed but also mutilated the same way with even the same kind of knife according to his autopsy.
