The differences in the cemeteries you have visited in Italy is amazing! From the mafia, to the truly appallingly neglected, to well-kept, to mountainous - wow! Can't wait to see Part II. Be careful - we need you!!
@deusvult255916 күн бұрын
I think that the "mafia" was just a joke...the employee was probably surprised to see a man filming, given the state of that cemetery, which in turn is due to the (modern) anarchic state of things in Naples

Another fascinating cemetery Dan. All of those sculptures would look so beautiful if they were cleaned. Even in death some humans still have to put themselves on a pedestal and look down on everyone else. It seems like because they lived a luxurious life that they must have an elaborate mausoleum to remain in eternity in.

@janetslicer363717 күн бұрын
It started out very impressive. Beautiful actually in many areas. At the end I wondered how much older those niches were that were falling apart or the facades are gone leaving the insides exposed. Love all the trees that make it look like a natural mountain setting. Maybe I am mistaken. Thank you Dan, it was well worth it. ♥️☘️

Dan this place is gorgeous, the trees, the landscaping, the multiple levels and beautiful sculptures. thanks. Also as an American I find your accent very pleasing, laid back and, most of the time, easy to understand. Are you going to do anything Halloween oriented like last year? Your night walks at Grey Friars? were what got me interested in your channel.

Breathtaking Italian cemetery statues are a tourist’s delight, what would those interred down below think of all this today, hundreds of sculptures that literally turn it into an outdoor art museum. Many of them are so lifelike that it makes you want to reach and touch them.

I'm glad you didn't go up those crumbling steps. A shame that the wall bit is falling down-- if not fixed soon it will be a real mess with coffins on the ground. Thank you for all the walking around -- & I hope the storm past.❤
