I feel all of your feelings! I cried about this very thing last week. Mine will be moving into 9th and 7th so I am on the back side with them both now. It has gone so so fast. Truth on enjoying the younger years. I have a senior this year myself. But I also have a wide span of kids, thankfully. I still have a first grader and a preschooler, and two more below them. I am determined to enjoy it because I know how quickly it went!

Your words mean so much more to me today then they ever would have when I was graduating my boys. When I was struggling through the teenage years with my boys. The day they drove off in their own car for the first time, The day they moved out. The hard days I struggled through. Id take one of those days back in a heartbeat if I could. It goes by so fast. My story is so much different then yours. Your just graduating a child. I buryied one of mine. But you have no idea how much your gonna miss till those moments are gone and as much as you want to relive them, or just remember them. Before he died, I would wish I could just go back. I miss my little boys. Why does being a mom have to be so darn hard.

And also, you are so right about the time never being enough! My 4 kids are about the same ages as yours. I literally had the type of homeschool day today where I wanted to run away and hide, but yet I still feel in my bones that I wish they didn't have to grow up and leave. Motherhood is such a hard/beautiful dichotomy.

I am not prepared, I’ve always been a stay at home Mom and homeschooling all these years - and having my oldest being a freshman this year I suddenly am facing this. I keep thanking my husband for being the provider he is to allow me to be in this role and all those days, hours and minutes I’ve had with my kids. Financially it hasn’t always made sense, but spiritually and for the sake of my children’s upbringing it has. Big hugs to you Ashlee!

I think teeth health is partly genetic. My adopted twins have never had a cavity. My bio child has had several. Dental hygiene is the same but twins bios have good teeth, my husband has always had issues.(me as well but I didn’t have consistent access to toothbrushes and paste as a child).

I feel for you, Ashlee! My youngest is graduating 12th grade this year. It’s been a good but tough year on me as well. I’m just not ready to let go. But I feel that we did our absolute best for her in homeschooling her and that she is very well prepared for college and her future. Of course, we rely on the Lord for everything and for every step that she takes from here on out. You have done a wonderful wonderful job homeschooling your kiddos. We don’t use one. They have to learn to navigate around things it’s too difficult to monitor it all.
