I think this short piece takes maybe more effort than any other section of the same length in any song he does- at the least its about the only time after he finishes I can recall him visibly out of breath and sweating from the exertion.

Go find the Singer competition in China 2017, watch from episode 1 to the end..he is younger there but he sings an amazing range of songs, some Queen, Celine Dion, Chinese, Khazakh music (where he is from) etc etc etc. Listen to that competition first, then you can watch his astonishing progress since then..

If there is any way you can go to his New York concert in December, I recommend that you jump on the chance. Dimash is starting to blow up world-wide and I think tickets are going to be nearly impossible to get by next year. People fly in from all around the world to see him and he keeps having to increase the size of his venues. I believe Dimash is the next music legend, up there with Elvis and Michael Jackson. I was hoping for the original version where he sang Diva Dance after Confessa on Singer 2017. This is a better performance of this part but on Singer you get 2 songs in 1 performance plus joy watching this & what he does on stage.

Here is how you say his name: Dee-mash (like ahh) Koo-die-berg (hard g, like gorilla)-en. Just to help you with the struggle that many went through in the beginning. This was his first solo concert. This song takes tremendous breath control, and yet he sang it at least half-way through the show. I am so looking forward to seeing him in New York in December! Love your reactions!

The original Diva Dance was performed by Albanian opera singer Inva Mula-Tchako. According to movie trivia, the film’s composer Eric Serra designed the futuristic pop-opera to be technically impossible for a human to hit some of the high notes so quickly after another. Therefore, Mula-Tchako had to sing the notes individually so that they could then be arranged digitally. However, this didn’t stop Zhang from taking on the challenge, who hit every note perfectly without the help of any computer editing-mastering the seemingly impossible.
