I'm glad I'm not the only person who sees that this is full of inaccuracies.

It's clear those two are big fans of Julie's and their enthusiasm is endearing but..... I suggest to you both to read or listen to her auto biographies and then correct all the big flaws in this so called documentary. I'm sure you mean well so maybe you might take the effort and try again. Also all these parts of the video that have nothing to do whatever with Andrews are most irritating, and... those are meant to illustrate...what? And last not least all those mistakes in pronounciation and subtitling are simply annoying, so please take it down and try again. This is a 70 year old lifelong fan of Julie who's read and watched and seen all there is about her, on and offline, much of which you can find in the Julie Andrews Archives channel. So go take the effort and inform yourselves befor putting out such a heap of r..... I will not report this as clickbait but really... it is...

Some of this info seems to be VERY wrong. I have never heard anything about her real father being a singer. Also her parent separated when she was about 4 not 7. Many other details seem not to be factual. Also The Sound of Music is NOT Disney as they keep stating

I completely agree. As I am listening to this, I am thinking “that’s not true”.

Also, the movie of "Victor/Victoria" was NOT a flop! The Broadway Show, however, was NOT a critical success. It drew in the crowds because of Julie's star power, but was panned by most critics.

It was her step-father who was a singer at the British music halls, not her real father!

@@brendadrew834I realize that but that’s not what’s said in the video.

The thing with lovely super talented, iconic Dame Julie Andrews is that she is humble and grateful for her gifts and all the breaks she got plus the support of so many around her and doesn't "Act like a Diva" like JLo does! "It doesn't matter the size of your house, the fancy car you drive, the degrees after your name, the awards you win, we all end up in the same place in the end....so stay humble!"...to paraphrase a famous old Irish proverb! Someone send that to JLo!

This docu isn`t worth anything.... Too many errors from people who seem to think "they know it all"

Great documentary but I'm a bit surprised Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Star! (1968) were not mentioned at all.

Between Mary Poppins and Sound of Music, Julie Andrews did her first of three movies with James Garner, The Americanization of Emily.

Where’s Celine Dion? She was cast but doesn’t appear other than that intro?

I agree with other commenters that much of the information is just plain wrong. One would think that they would have done their homework before embarking on a project such as this. For example, the second woman (don't recall her name) kept referring to "The Sound of Music" as a Disney film. Nope. Not even close. Things like that kept me from actually enjoying this documentary,

What is this rubbish about Julie having a 5-octave voice range ?. NO singer has that range. Julie had her greatest range as a child, with a top note of F6. Well, even 4 octaves below that would be too low for her. Actually, when Julie reached her mid or late ‘teens, she lost the top of her range, and her voice settled into a mid-range, ideally suited to her career on stage and in films.

There're also many errors of her life experience. She had a MUCH MORE amazing life beyond their imagination.

Julie Andrews actually kept her 4 octave range until the botched surgery. If I remember correctly after many years of healing/resting she is actually in the 3 octave range. She has trouble with her voice even in speaking so she mainly speak/sings these days as she puts it. Oh yes on the singers....Matt Patton and Adam Lopez a bit over 6, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Axyl Rose, Devin Townson, and Prince with 5 or a bit over 5 to name just a few. There is a Russian artist with a 7 and I think an Indian woman at 9. The Guiness Book has a woman at 10 recorded.

I kind of enjoyed this but would rather have heard Julie speak for herself. It's very much the usual asscreep entertainment docu sadly.
