Awesome recipe 👏🏻 I tried it at home and it was really delicious and soft ,but I put half of the sugar and it was still a little too sweet. Next time I will use only 80-100 g sugar and I didn't used the powdered sugar+ lemon juice topping because without them they were still really delicious 😋

Made these tonight, they are really good- really sweet and lots of lemon taste. I skipped the icing but they are still good. Thanks for the recipe. The bottom was hard to brown for me- not sure why.

I love every dessert with lemon. If you add the lemon zest to the icing, let it sit for a few minutes. the oil from the zest will give more flavor.

I appreciate u telling us what the shortening does... can u tell me what buttermilk does to the recipe? I have bought it to follow your other recipes (u love buttermilk) but i always thought could i use regular milk? Because i always have buttermilk left over amd hate throwing it away

Ahhhh buttermilk, my food ingredient crush! I use it for adding moisture and tenderness to my baked goods. Some recipes are best for​ regular milk but when I can get away with buttermilk I add it.
