They give guidance/direction on currents, weather conditions etc. in aiding a vessel in and out of the port and harbor. There are very few places globally where the pilot actually takes physical control of a vessel travelling through a port, harbor or channel one such place is the Panama canal. The mention of the harbor pilots being on board sounds like someone trying to cover the Captain and crews ass, and this certainly wouldn't be an investigation led by the FBI as they lack the expertise in this situation to determine cause that would fall to the NTSB who are neither shown nor mentioned in this coverage.

Well, TBF, America has had issues from the start. The only reason America isn't a colony is because wealthy people funded the revolutionary war so they could use America for cheap agricultural production. America was a pretty stable puppet through most of "independent" history, tho. They fought the globalist's wars dutifully. It was time to crank up the social agenda in the 1960's, tho, to create their proffered worker society tho, something a little more docile. Things were going along ok, until legacy Americans got a little uppity in 2016. Then it was time to put the social change in turbo mode, but that is working about as well as when they tried it in the Soviet Union, which is not well, lol.

The ship lost power just prior to the incident, hard time believing it had anything to do with DEI. I'm not for DEI either, but, we can't make it the bogeyman for every incident. Starts to sound like the left complaining about white males.

Theres video of the ship losing power, then re gaining power, and the smoke from the engines looks like they are in full reverse. The anchor had been reported as dropped and drug on the sea floor. They issued a mayday call as well. Just a catastrophic accident hard to stop a zillion pounds with little to no friction unfortunately.

That Bridge collapsed way too easy when that ship hit it. Definitely poor maintenance or construction.

Ships have evolved in size and weight too fast for bridges. When this bridge was complete, the largest ships carried 3,000 TEUs. This ship had 10,000. The largest today carry 24,000. Maybe dolphins/bumpers like those installed on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge (after the 1980 collapse) can help.

Did not hear anyone say that the HUGE, fully loaded, container ship ran directly into one of the only two bridge support towers and knocked it over, as seen in video, collapsing the entire bridge. Right?

The shipping company better be prepared to pay for the bridge. You broke it, you owned it. The ship and its cargo can't begin to come near the cost of the bridge. The port better hope the insurance company is Lloyd's of London, and not an underwriter in the slum of Sri Lanka.

@918_xDx8 ай бұрын
The lights flickered when it hit the base... it rotated because momentum and the front was against the piling. Regardless of the why it was pointed straight at the vertical support I dunno if it would have fit under the bridge but where it hit that didnt matter

On March 27, mostly I hear talk about the 7 construction workers known to have been on the bridge, but little information on how many vehicles crashed into the water, trapping the drivers. Are there any families or trucking companies reporting someone missing who might have been driving across the bridge? You can see headlights on the bridge close to the time of the collapse.
