I recognize that stretch of the coast having visited there a few occasions to gather kai seaweed there is no reason to mistake the numbers of paua these hoons had given they are all up and down this coast among the seals. Thank you one of the few NZ doco's worth watching.

Have you ever been on a boat in these conditions? 😱
@donnamitchell770710 ай бұрын
Yes. Once in Hawaii, and in Barbados. It shook me up big time. I haven't been near the ocean since. The lake where I live gets really bad at times. I hope you have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️⛵️.

Good job by the Fisheries Officers in the last story. You can tell that main guy was a liar, when he hid the bag and then lied about it. Then admitted to it, when officers found the bag. He couldn’t lie straight in bed.

A serious question... I am Australian... if I were to visit NZ, how can I know the fishing laws? Is it posted on signs at fishing areas?
@Corgsta9 ай бұрын
Yes in the areas should be signs if not fisheries website should tell you

Guy breaks the law plus tries to put things out of sight but then still cries when he still gets all his gear back minus their catch. Instead of just learning from the mistakes they made for a later time he argues over it which is almost a given to tell anyone they already knew they were guilty of at least something.

What would you have done if you were a customs officer in this situation?

All three poachers got fined $500 each but none of them are going to pay, it's a joke,

why do people play dumb when they know the rules, why risk the idea of thinking that you can get away with it, if you can bag your limit sweet, if not come back another day, how hard is it to make your cray pots legal can't be difficult, these people are so called fishermen they know what's required with in the law, stop being greedy, it's people like them why the fisheries change the law or local iwi put on a rauhi, a few christmases ago local iwi put a rahui on the coast here, its still in place, thanks to bus loads of aucklanders that came down, the locals caught wind of it, had a meeting then iwi put a ban on the coast, if people could eat the rocks they'd take them as well, cos these people were taking everything legal size and under, and more than enough food to feed a country,
