Hello, here at Diverse we make sure to make our pieces fair. This specific number was an ‘in class’ piece. Meaning that parts were cast from 1 class only, and we felt the the girl who played the part of Lucas, was the closest in acting style. Parts are cast according to who is registered in that class only. We don’t control who signs up to any class which makes casting of any role difficult. Apologies if we offended you

This would’ve been cool if you hadn’t white-washed Lucas. He’s practically the only person of color in the show. The least you could’ve done is cast a Black kid for the role.
