This is how, with a drive, determination and a compassion to help all ( races, creeds, and colors) that Black Lives Matter. Black men in white coats is a prime example, of how intelligent Black Men are represented within a 21st century society versus always viewing crime related issues. As a Black Adjunct University Professor, this site is a blessing in disguise for (all) Black Men to see, whatever you're calling in life my be, take pride in yourself ...

Great mini documentary, I am a (PTA) physical therapist assistant and I have also experienced the "I'm the only Black male feeling!" in both education and work environment. It is a burden that makes you stronger and appreciative of your own inner drive, we all must bear it as African American or Minorites alike paving the way for others.

I just got accepted and I am about to start my first year of medical college this August. In my advanced undergrad biology labs and classes, I was the only black male in the class, and I always felt the weight somehow. Even though I was doing better than anybody else, I still felt strangely, like I wasn’t expected to be there or to be that good. As soon as he said, "I am the only black male in my class”, I just said Oh My Goodness, because I can absolutely relate. My prayer is that this will change in the future. It is so amazing to talk about this and see that others can relate, because I honestly thought something was probably just wrong with me :)

Loved this video! Being a premed student at a four year university hasn't been easy but videos like this give me inspiration. I agree there are huge health disparities in the U.S healthcare system and we need more blacks, particularly, black males to advocate and represent us at all levels of healthcare.

Can I help change the narrative and disparities by pursuing and apply to PA school? with all respect to the PA field, I can't help but wonder if I'm selling my self and my community short.
@Shogun9737 жыл бұрын
tee rod no we need people like you because sometimes a clinic cannot afford multiple mds. A PA can give the same care for 100k a year.

tee rod I'm doing my doctorate in physical therapy and I know we need black PTs to ally with black MDs and PAs. We gotta refer patient to each other and build our community.
