For those who don't know - Wonder Girls was one of the first groups to ever go viral and enter the Billboard chart, everyone was doing the Nobody dance. This was without the help of social media, they only had KZbin. They ended up touring with the Jonas Brothers and were the first group that tried to enter the US market properly. Through all of this they had members come in and out, leaving amicably to focus on their health and/or private lives and school, which did ruin their chances in the US but I still think they did amazingly well for the first group trying to get into the US market. They really don't get enough credit for their work!

Not too long ago I got back into K-pop after a 2-3 year hiatus cuz I just got into university. I stumbled upon some new Kpop videos and I had no idea who 90% of the groups were. I was wondering like "Where's T-ara? 2PM? 2AM? 4Minute?" etc. Of course I'm still a huge fan of some of the recent groups that have come out over the past few years, but sometimes you can't help but long for the good old days lol

What if the Wonder Girls came back with all seven members? Instead of a music video they'd have a feature length music movie. They could play their instruments, do choreo, sing, rap, act, be beautiful. It would be amazing, and would blow all these rookies out of the water. Honestly I'm going off on a tangent here, but Kpop won't continue to succeed as a genre on the world stage if the industry doesn't start showing more respect for their veteran artists who have actually had time to develop their unique artistic voices, and whose talents have matured into something truly special. Like Sunmi, Hyuna, Yubin, Yeeun, and the rest.

One of the first K-pop idol groups I met and my first K-pop concert was the Wonder Girls!! Back then K-pop was still pretty unknown in Canada and WG was the first idol group to have their own concert in Toronto ❤

Wonder Girls truly inspired so many of the kpop acts you see today. They really worked so hard, they’re a kpop act who promoted in the US when NOBODY (pun intended) dared to, they took such a huge risk. I hate the term “paved the way” but so many people don’t respect WG for the achievements they made and the risks they took.

I miss my girls.... As a wonderful from 07' I've loved every period of theirs. Sometimes I miss the wg from 2008 or the wg from 2012 and they are times the rebooted band gives me different types of feels. If you don't know them or you only heard one song and you don't like them, please try again with another song from another era and I promise you will not regret it. I love and respect them so much for their careers.

Original WG lineup: Sunye, Yenny, Sunmi, Hyuna, Sohee. When Hyuna left Yubin took over, Sunmi left and Hyelim can in. Sunye left and Sunmi can back, and then there were four. Final lineup= Yenny, Sunmi, Yubin, Hyelim. I miss them too

I FELT what they said about not knowing anyone on the music shows these days. I used to look at mcountdown lineups and see like vixx, exo, infinite, 4minute, ailee, b1a4, girls day, etc all together you know? All well known, unique and novel artists back then and still have a reputation now. But now you look at music show lineups and it's like ten rookie groups/unknown soloists and maybe one or two more popular groups, and basically no one who debuted before 2017. It's crazy to see how all those iconic groups just gone.

I miss the old kpop I started watching Korean drama in 2004 when I was 7 years old And kpop in 2006 I really miss the old kpop. There was no hatred, no fanwars, no social media. And that's my childhood memories. It's seems like the beauty of kpop is disappearing.

It started with Sunye being the first member, then the 3 maknaes Sunmi, Sohee, Hyuna came in. Then they added Yeeun. They had a debut, Irony. Then Hyuna left due to health, which Yubin was added. These roster stayed through the Nobody fame, but then Sunmi was really stressed with the US expansion, so she pulled out, and Hyelim was added on. These roster goes until Sunye got married, they went on a hiatus. Sohee didn’t renew her contract to pursue acting. Then Sunmi debuted as a solo, followed by re grouping with Wonder Girls and they became a 4 women band.

There's some errors in the English subtitles, at 1:08 it says "Hyelim" instead of Yeeun, at 1:24 it says "the only one that was remaining full time was Hyuna" instead of "the only one that was remaining full time is Yeeun", and at 3:10 it says "Timinnie" instead of "Jiminie".
