@Twinsfan36 It's also good to know if the decimal values repeat, and there are ways to note this. For instance, whenever you divide a number by 7 and it goes on forever, it will have a repetition, and you can use a bar above the repeating digits to say that it does repeat forever

Hey, I have one question: I'm currently trying to solve the fraction 180/615 to get the decimal and do it by hand. What I don't understand is, if I do it like you did in this example, how do I line the digits of the result on top of the dividend - over which digit of the dividend does the first digit after the period in the result start? I am not able to line them properly, and thus my results are almost always wrong. I browsed through the Internet for hours and I still haven't found a coherent answer - either because the problems are different (dividends larger than the divisor etc.), or because they were computer-generated and just didn't give much depth or make sense. Will be very happy if you can answer that :)

Selma Hussami Finvold Hello when using two digit numbers. You do it the same as this video BUT instead of starting with only one number u go with two. for example 20 and 255 u start with. How much does 255 go with 20. and thats 0 after that u do how much does 255 go with 200 and thats 0 too after that u do how much does 255 go with 2000 and on and on
