Another way to do it is get the numerator and keep it and multiply the denominator and the whole number and then just put it as a fraction with the denominator on the top and the multiplied numbers on the bottom. 👍👍👍

For mental maths, would it work if you just skipped the switch and flip and multiplied the denominator by the whole number (make the answer the new denominator) and then move the numerator on the original fraction across for the new numerator? So for the 2/8 / 5, you could go 5 x 8 = 40, move across the 2 so then you have 2/40 simplified to 1/10? I assume you do this way to get marks for the test but as a mental math problem, would that work?
