Many protestants, to use one example, are better 'Catholics' in their beliefs than Catholics themselves. Understood tho, that Christ did establish a Church almost 2,000 years ago. I get that, but I think your response was quite harsh. 'And John, answering, said: Master, we saw a certain man casting out devils in thy name, and we forbade him, because he followeth not with us. While there are quite a few Catholics who are traditional and share views similar to them unfortunately many within the church do not teach the faith well and it is difficult to find those who teach the actual faith well within the Catholic church. (getting a Catechism is a good place to start until you can find good teachers) The enemy is always fighting against all Christians but he especially hates Jews (Gods chosen people) and the Catholic church and has been attempting to corrupt and destroy both. Another reason that these trials must happen is the church is the Mystical body of Christ as Jesus went through his passion and death, the church must also go through its own passion and death so God can purify the church also and then purify and resurrect it free from corruption and evil.

I agree, and to think most of them lived within different timeline/era. Also, in my opinion, the main thing that we need to prepare that they (the Saints) somehow emphasize is our soul. If we are not spiritually prepared, all the other things like blessed candles, holy cross, amd many others are with no use. I’m a sinner, but I am not afraid, I’d rather suffer than continue to live surrounded by it.
