Please don’t blame yourself for your journey and everything you have gone through up until this point. You were loved then, in the most painful moments, and you are loved now. All your experiences and everything you have felt and thought is ok- we love you. ❤ Also, I am in a 7 year long process of letting both my parents go, or the attachment to them. But it is what it is, there is no shortcut. The only way out is through as they say. And going back to them again and again cause I am still holding on to some kind of hope- that is also okay. Forgive yourself like God or source or whatever u wanna call it forgivs you. The reason we go back into ”sin” or look for validation is cause of that little beautiful child inside of us who still longs for their parents. No matter how much love we fill our lives with and how good we take care of ourselves, they will probably continue creeping in, until the grieving process is over. And I am guessing it won’t be over until we resolve that pain. Not ignore it, not dwell on it (though both is ok), but feel it and comfort ourselves through it- then we become the parent. We cannot save them. We cannot change them. We cannot make them give us anything. We can pray for them . Love you all much

Completely true. I stayed on and tried to assume that my narcissistic ex was not one. In fact I didn’t know that he was a narcissist till maybe 6 months back. After 12 years of abuse I finally let go. There are some people so dark and so empty that you can shine your light as much as you want and be spiritually very strong but they will keep taking and taking like a dementor . I’m happy to say I have completely cut him off and shut him out. However the hatred I feel gor him has to be worked through.

It's been a struggle recently and my other half has been quite ugly to me and it doesn't help that when the pain came, I reacted out of not being heard but I sure wish I could talk to you about this. That letting go part is the hardest thing. Growing up, bc my name is different, it was difficult for people to say so I didn't like it.. but now I love it.
