So were my folks until 1993. You can’t imagine the nuttiness going on with me at school with ‘normal ‘ kids! Vegetarian- in 1978!!? What a laugh they had.

@danvincent2600 I was a vegetarian in 1978, yeah people got upset with that. They can't mind their own business. However, I saw right thru DLM . The Beatles had a better understanding of eastern mystical truth than they did. DLM is a cult for not very intelligent people.

I really need to learn more about this. If anyone here from Devine light mission is willing to talk with me, please send me a message!! My father was part of Devine Light in the late 70s or 80s. He told me very few details about this period of his life. But he told me many times that Maharaji saved his life and taught him how to heal himself of particular ailments. My dad always told me that Maharaji taught him the importance of vegetarianism, and he raised me to be vegetarian from birth, which I am so grateful for, and have raised my kids to value the same principles. Some people in my family have told me terrible things about what Guru Maharaji was “really” about. But my dad died before I could find the words to coax him into telling me his experience. My dad even took me to where the Devine light mission used to be. And he showed me a place that used to be some sort of coop or grocery store he worked at. He told me he traveled from PA, to Denver, to Tennessee and Canada with Maharaji over the period of years. My soul is so curious and desperate to find someone who perhaps even knew my dad that would be willing to talk to me. Love and peace

Cult. That's what they were. They're wannabe krishnas/scientologist. They had never had the same big contingency like the moonies or any other cult. I know one guy who still claims to be DLM he is a really obese crazy person

I feel bad for you If you had continued your focus on knowledge you might not feel so bad about your experience I’m not saying that there were things that went on in the name of Maharaji But that’s old new and I never let the bad behavior of some ruin my experience
